Works great with Weber!
By OldSailor on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2025
It’s taken me 59 years to slow down enough to experience cooking. Rotisserie has been on my list to try. This product was easy to put together and even easier to learn (with help from YouTube). This fit my Weber Genesis II like a champ!

Cheap alloy metal - ZERO Supplier Assistance

Choose another manufacturer who doesn’t sacrifice quality of their components. Reached out to the manufacturer through Customer Service at Only Fire. They responded but then we were ghosted by them. Here is the email that was sent to them…. I’ve used the rotisserie twice. Once for Chicken wings in a rotisserie basket and everything work great. Last weekend I did two whole 3 lb chickens on the rotisserie and part way through the cook the rotisserie shaft came apart at the collar location where it connects to the short shaft before connecting to the handle. I came to check on the chicken and apply a basting only to find the chicken had fallen on the smoker plates and was not rotating as the rod going into the motor unit had pulled out. I was able lift it and reinsert the shaft into the collar but could not get the threads to engage. I managed to finish the cook but had to constantly keep an eye on things and several time pushed the handle towards the motor unit to ensure the rod remained connected while using it. After the cook, I took the rotisserie shaft apart and cleaned it noting the collar and threaded shaft were stripped. I could fully seat the shaft into the collar without threading it in and remove as well. Completely stripped. Threads were barely visible on both the collar and short shaft. I know Weber has a two year warranty on their items and from Amazon it looks like you only carry a 1 year warranty. We are well within the 1 year period. The grill I have is a three burner Weber Genesis Special Edition. It’s probably close to 10 years old but still is a great grill. I’ve provided this info as I’m not seeing the same kit on your website and need a replacement rotisserie rod.

Used it once so far works well but it is a little ackward inserting the rod into the motor. Reviews mentioned this but running motor to get the drive hole with a flat on top makes the process easier.

I bought this for my Weber Genesis II grill. This product seems well-made and less expensive with better reviews than the OEM Weber product. Several reviews indicate that the motor cord exits the bottom and will not clear the side plate of the grill when mounted. On the model I received, there was a label indicating that the motor should be oriented with the cord facing down however the mounting bracket design mounted the motor with the cord to the side so this was not an issue. The spit comes in several screw together sections to allow for easier shipment and to accommodate various grill sizes. The assembly instructions are in German but the assembly diagram is all you need. It goes together easily. However, as several reviews noted, the rotation direction of the motor is such that the sections can become unscrewed during use. Not what you would expect from German engineering (or maybe German-speaking parts of China?). One reviewer said that he fixed this problem by opening up the motor compartment and reversing the motor leads. This is an AC motor so that will not work to reverse the direction of rotation. I rescued my first rotisserie chicken by reconnecting the rod sections and tightening them with wrenches. I am still concerned that when the end of the rod away from the motor comes into contact with the grill housing (normal since you don't want the rod to be able to pull out of the motor) the friction will cause the sections to unscrew again. I have attempted to fix this with a simple solution by making a washer out of a small piece of aluminum flashing. I drilled a hole slightly larger than the spit diameter where it sits in the grill cutout and then made a cut so that I could fit it into place over the rod (see pictures). Testing it out, the square spit section turns smoothly against the washer so I am hoping this solves the problem. Happy grilling.
Viable Alternative to Weber's More Expensive Rotisserie Offering

Love it! I have a Weber Genesis S435 (essentially, a Weber Genesis 400 series grill). This Rotisserie fits perfectly and was really easy to install. I have already used it twice and am very pleased (see included video). It runs quietly, and is a great addition to our grill. One great plus is that for routine cooking situations such as Rotisserie Chicken, or Wings in a Rotisserie Basket, there was no reason to remove the underlying grates. This is wonderful as it gives you freedom to cook other things in the outlying space surrounding the item that is on the Rotisserie. And, if I needed to cook something larger (a Turkey perhaps?) I believe I could remove just some of the grates to make room, but potentially still have some grate area available for cooking other things. I note that Weber has a comparable Rotisserie offering, but it is nearly twice the price. I feel like I made the right choice in going with a less expensive, but completely viable alternative.

Perfect fit. Works great. Easy to use.
Appears to be okay… razor sharp edge attached to the grill is a major negative

The frame which is attached permanently to the grill to hold the rotisserie has extremely dangerous edges, so much so that I have permanently attached a potholder with zip ties to prevent a disaster. Also the hardware for the spikes which attached to the rotisserie clumsily made with thumb screws welded. Would not recommend.
Poor Amazon quality controll

Had to order two of these before i received one with all the parts. The second one came with and extra part and a dent. I was able to straighten out the dent and it did not impact the use so I kept it. Both of the items where purchased from Amazon as returned items at a discount. Both had labels that they were inspected by Amazon and both were supposed to be as new. For some reason this is happening a lot lately. Hopefully Amazon reads these reviews and will work on there quality control issues, The spit works as advertised and fits my 400 Weber with no problems. I have now used the item and everything works very well. I made a Chicken and an Acorn Squash which both turned out delicious. You can not cook with the grates on as there is not enough room even for a smart chicken but once you remove the plenty of room for a Turkey. Very quite operation and at this moment I am changing my review to five stars for the product and just three for Amazon.
Works well at half the price of a Weber

As some others have noted, a section of the spit unscrews with the rotation of the spit, but this did not happen if I tightened the handle to the spint. This was without any tools. That noted, It fit my Weber "Genesis Intelligent EPX-335." I contacted Weber and they said a rotisseroe for a Gensis II would be right for it. and it fit perfectly. So far I have only done a 3 lb half potl loin roast and a 5 lb chicken with no problems.
Half the price of one from Weber

A bargain at half the Weber price, it attaches fine, runs quietly, uses the attachments I've used on older rotisseries. The only negative I have is the length of the cord, it's pretty darned short. But for the cost savings, I have plenty of good extension cords.
