Fantastic humidifier!!!

Simple, elegant, highly functional. The reality is you just want a humidifier to work well and operate without complications. The Boneco costs a but more than most, but the headaches you don't have to deal with make up for it's price many times over. It's a workhorse and that's what I need in the dry winter months.

Terrible experience with this Boneco humidifier

We had a great experience with the Boneco 7135 so when we needed a smaller unit we tried this one...the u330. This unit is loud and turns on and off constantly. The humidistat is not accurate and it appears to turn on and off in a timed cycle that has nothing to do with humidity levels. It functioned the same when the surrounding room was at 30% rh as it did when then room was at 95% rh. Our first unit was $60 so I decided to try a second unit to see if we had a lemon. The second unit was $160...not sure why the $100 increase, but it functioned exactly the same for the first two weeks then it started turning off with the dial turning red for no apparent reason. I would reset it by turning it off and then on and it would be okay for a while then do the same...I returned that one. I would not buy this unit again. Also, for some reason it grew mold inside though used uninterrupted ...even though the water had passed through the filter...I never had that problem with the 7135. My experience was that this was a different quality than the 7135...though the humidistats on the two of those we own have never been accurate.
