Love my new (to me) Imac!
By gunnersmom on Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2020
My Imac came quickly and was a snap (for this almost non-techie) to transfer and install my stuff. The machine is SO THIN compared to my old Imac, and I can't say enough about how quick it is! I've never transferred files from one machine to the next before, so I contacted the seller and received a very good response, making the transfer after the machine arrived, seamless. They suggested, with the age of my old computer, that I buy a backup drive to copy the contents of the old one. I did that with the file transfer program on the mac, and everything transferred back to my "new" one with no problem! Even my home screen looks exactly the same. The Imac was delivered pretty quickly, considering it sat in a hub west of Chicago during the riots. (I was worried about that. ) Today, on day 2 of ownership, I sit here, typing away on this wonderful machine. They only thing I DON'T like is the small keyboard, and I will be replacing it soon, although NOT with the pricey one Apple sells, I'll use a cheaper version, but I do hate the size and lack of number pad on this new one. I find it very difficult to establish finger placement, and I've been using keyboards for years! I would highly recommend this seller and this imac.

Problems From Day One
By shanti on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2017
I purchased this iMac as a birthday gift to replace my wife's old iMac because it could no longer updated to the latest Apple OS which also prevented some of her programs from updating. She is a photographer and mainly uses the iMac to edit her work. She loved the new iMac display but had problems from the start--particularly with the Photos app behaving erratically: While editing photos the screen goes white; images vibrate then jump to random photos from the past; lots of errors uploading photos from her camera's memory cards; more errors copying files to flash drives; and other random errors including email issues; plus the computer is painfully slow doing almost everything. This computer has been in and out of Apple's so-called "Genius Bar" four times. We have also spent hours on the phone with Apple Support. They have tried everything--reloaded all the software, run software diagnositics, run hardware diagnostic, always super friendly and giving us great hope that all would be fine. It never is. The problems persist with no solution. She is now back to working on her old iMac again, while the new iMac sits on the floor. After becoming convinced that Apple Support had no solutions for us we ask to return the computer. Apple wouldn't take it back since we ordered it through Amazon. Now we find out that Amazon will only give us a partial refund because we are past our 30 days window for returns. This has been a maddening experience. I personally won't buy another computer through Amazon. The 30 day return policy seems to be written for electronic devices that are dead on arrival. However, in our case we couldn't tell what was wrong and were working with Apple Support for well over 30 days to resolve the problem. Now we are stuck with a partial refund and still have the old computer that needs to be replaced. The whole experience leaves me feeling lack of trust in both Apple's products and Amazon's customer service.
