Make sure it has sufficient power for the uses that you want it for
By John W Sweetman on Reviewed in the United States on February 13, 2020
Works perfectly and does everything that I want it to do. I mainly power a tire, inflation pump that plugs into the usual cigarette lighter sockets. I like to use it independently of my car and this unit is ideal for that purpose. There are less expensive versions but which do not provide the electrical power the compressor needs. Some people may not be electrically savvy to take this into account. My unit looks well made but I have only just received it and so I cannot comment on it's long term durability. No worries so far.

Absolute Junk! Didn't work out of the box! LED 'operational light' not working!
By Macforlife on Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2021
I didn't buy the cheapest adapter on Amazon--but I bought Amazon's recommendation! Big mistake! I bought 'Astro Al's air compressor--with Amazon's choice review. Both came together. When I unboxed and plugged in Brill's AC/DC adapter to Astro Al's Air compressor there was nothing happening-Nada! I tried it in several different plug outlets--same result! I then noticed that the tiny rectangular LED window was not lit. Nothing ticks you off more than something you paid good money for, being a dud! Amazon's packaging was a flimsy 'plastic bag.' But, the adapter was in its own 'flip top' box. I called Amazon customer Service and worked through the 'male robot's labyrinth of choices that does everything to prevent you from what you want--talking to someone who can 'fog a mirror.' I hate this cheap 'bean counter' mentality on Amazon's part. I finally got through to some 'giggly' young guy in the Philippines. I explained the bad news and got a UPS return label. I immediately ordered "Astro Al's' adapter. I received it today--and it works! It was five dollars cheaper than Brill's adapter! It just goes to show you fellas--higher cost doesn't mean 'higher quality!' I highly recommend that you 'run,' from Brill's adapter. What kind of quality control does this Chinese company have? I would say, 'buy' Astro Al's--what's not to like? It's cheaper and it works! "Whad'ya Tinga?" Ciao for Now! Macforlife Prime Member
