Earthwise 24-Inch 58-Volt Hedge Trimmer

Just received the unit this afternoon, the only good thing is that it arrived a day earlier than scheduled. Unpackaged the trimmer and battery, read the instructions, yes believe it or not! Plugged in the charger and the red light came on indicating that it was working. Slid the battery into place and nothing happened, checked the battery and it is totally dead. Not a good start. I will see if customer service will send out a new battery, if not back to Amazon it will go. If so probably will go with the Stihl trimmer.
