Teva Women's Hurricane XLT2 Sandals (Open Box)

Judging by the reviews, many people love these sandals. The style and fit wasn’t right for my feet, though. The triangular connector that sat behind my pinky toe rubbed uncomfortably (even after adjusting the Velcro strap). And because us older folks lose fat padding in our feet over time (I didn’t know that until it started happening to me!), that is an area that’s more bone and flesh, and not ‘meaty’ any more. Also, the placement of the front strap on an angle didn’t keep my feet well secured straight in the sandal. My feet began angling out even while sitting, not even taking a step! (But there’s a bunion by the big toe on the right side of my foot, so maybe that was part of it too.) I did like the arch support and its quick dry/waterproof features - two big reasons I decided to give these a try! This might be a great sandal for 20somethings who still have great feet. :) But it seems to be less so for those of us with several more decades on board, whose feet that have developed issues over the years, and they aren’t as forgiving as they used to be when the footwear fit isn’t right.
