My office was recently remodeled and I bought this for under my new desk. I was hesitant because it looked light-weight in the photos. It arrived quickly(thanks Amazon) and I brought it to work for a test. It was sturdier than I thought and the positions are tight so you really have to push on it to adjust it (which is GOOD since you have your foot weight on it all the time) I was worried it would "flop" up and down but it did NOT! It was also heavier duty than I thought too, so it's working out well so far. We have concrete floors at work and it seems to sit still and not "scoot around" either so that's a plus! Overall, I'm very happy with this foot rest...it's a MUST if you sit all day *thumbs up* kcj, nashville,TN

Build quality, meh

After using it for roughly 5 days working in an office, I can confidently say I wouldn't buy this again. While the build quality seemed sturdy to begin with, minimal usage from it resulted in breaking the hinges that the top footrest locks into. This is likely due to 2 factors - one the plastic locking hinges are relatively thin, and the plastic that the footrest slides in and out of is rough enough that with minimal pressure, the hinges break. It's very simple construction, but if you like to use the footrest in different configurations throughout the day, this is not the product for you.
