50% more powerful than my older DiamondClean!!!
By Sad Guy on Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2023
I'm going to compare this Sonicare to my older model which was the first Diamond Clean model that came with the glass cup. This new Sonicare is 50% or more powerful than my older one!!! They improved the buttons to make them less likely to gunk up. The 2nd most important upgrade is the seal on top of the toothbrush where the metal rod goes through that holds the brush! My older Sonicare's seal was a pain to clean the gunk out of because it had these ridges/grooves that would hold old toothpaste gunk. I would try to gently scrape it out with a toothpick and a brush. This Sonicare's new awesome seal is smooth without any ridges and is a harder material that I'm not worried about tearing. I recommend removing your brush head once a week and wiping the seal and bottom of brush head. This new Sonicare has a light on the bottom that will let you know if you are scrubbing too much or applying too much pressure, but I have yet to set it off. I chose this cool looking gray color because it looks great whether you use the black color brush heads or buy white ones in the future. I have only used the Bluetooth phone app twice, because I checked for firmware updates. I have no need for the guided brushing through the phone app because I'm used to using the Sonicare's timing pacer which signals for you to change to the next set of teeth. I highly recommend to let the toothbrush do all of the work, because if you scrub then the vibrations don't get enough time on your teeth. After I brush my teeth, I rinse the entire toothbrush off, point it downwards in my sink, place my other hand an inch or so above the brush head, and I turn on the toothbrush for several seconds to let it shake the water off the bristles. I will then use my hand towel to dry off the whole toothbrush except the bristles. Lastly, I recommend not to keep the charger plugged in all the time. I charge my toothbrush once a week or every 2 weeks, because you can extend the battery's total life by not letting it get low or keeping it charged at 100% all the time. If you own the older Sonicare Diamond that doesn't have the Deep Clean mode, (I'm just mentioning this mode because it was a feature added to newer models after my old one) then I highly recommend that you upgrade to this one. The only complaint that I have is that the Sonicare phone app requires you to enable your phone's GPS to use it. But, by installing the phone app and creating an account, Sonicare will automatically extend your warranty some as a bonus. Thanks for reading my review and I hope it helps you.

Do not buy! Does not last a year. read full review.

I was really excited purchasing this toothbrush after reading the reviews on it, its suppose to be the best there is. In the beginning it was working well and performing well, I didn't notice much difference in cleanness but it made brushing teeth simpler . After 9 Months it stopped working, there is debris accumulated on the power button and on the head. Now lets think about it: This is a toothbrush, its purpose is to work with water and toothpaste. I cleaned it after each use and dried it, apparently that didn't help. a $240 electric toothbrush that fails due to use with water and toothbrush what a joke! Seems like the design is just faulty, Im sure the right way to do it is to put waterproof buttons where the debris cannot be accumulated behind the buttons. I reached out to Philips which refused to provide a refund. Only replacement. but the catch is that the warranty starts from the first purchase, which means I got 1 year left. Im positive this will happen again, they will replace it until my warranty is done (2 years from purchase). I tried to get a refund from Amazon which also disappointed me and provided no assistance whatsoever. I urge you to stay away from this product, get a cheaper one, if it wont last at least you didn't spend $240.
