Must-have controller for switch gaming
By Mark K. on Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2025
This controller is a game-changer for anyone who wants to enjoy the Switch like a traditional console. The ergonomic design makes it perfect for long gaming sessions, and the buttons and joysticks are incredibly responsive. It feels sturdy and well-built, which adds to the overall quality. The battery life is impressive, lasting hours on a single charge, and it charges quickly when needed. It truly enhances the gaming experience, offering comfort and precision that you can’t get with the standard Joy-Cons. An awesome purchase and absolutely worth it!

“Like New?”
By Jessica Featherston on Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2023
I wanted a second Pro controller for our Nintendo Switch. I purchased one new back in 2018 and it still works great even after hundreds of hours of gameplay. It wasn’t a replacement, I just decided it’d be convenient to have two. Rather than purchase a new item I decided to buy a pre owned device, not to save money or anything but oddly in this instance it was for faster shipping. The estimated shipping time for a new Pro Controller clocked in at over a month for some reason, but I was able to find a used controller that would ship in two days. It was listed as “Like New” and said “product will come in original packaging” only. No further details beyond that. The cost difference between the one I chose and a new one was pennies. I think I saved fifty cents… The controller arrived on time, and was more or less in like new condition aesthetically speaking, the thumb sticks were a bit scuffed from use, but that’s to be expected if it’s pre owned. The contents of the packaging were still in plastic. All the accessories were accounted for and also still in plastic wrap. “Like New” just as advertised right? Well, after charging the controller up and pairing it with our Switch I discovered that the controller had stick drift on the left stick. It wasn’t enough to be completely game breaking, but my character would walk towards the camera in spite of me not touching the stick, navigating menus was a pain because it would always scroll to the bottom of the list, you get the gist… stick drift. Annoying as hell… on this “Like New” product! I tried calibrating it in settings, turning of motion controls, unpairing and repairing it, nothing short of disassembling the controller, and using compressed air, a brush, and contact cleaner was able to fix the stick drift. Which is what I did. I’ve been fixing my own controllers for years, I have a kit for these things, and all in all not that big of deal… for ME. Someone else buying this product may not have that skill set, there are videos online that can walk you through it, but I’m really not sure how many people are willing to go to such lengths to fix their stick drift problems. I don’t know how many people are going to have the necessary tools just on hand without having to spend more money to fix the problem. I think most people will probably just be frustrated that they received a broken product and return it for money back. I’ve played for a few hours since fixing the problem and so far so good, no harm no foul I guess, but seriously Amazon… Don’t sell products as “like new” for nearly full price that have hardware issues. That’s just scummy. That’s what really bugs me here… I’m not even sure selling at half price as “acceptable” would be accurate. Well, now have a second pro controller for our family Switch, it works fine now (so far) but I spent nearly full price for a broken item that took extra steps to fix. As I said before it wasn’t about the price point, it was about the shipping speed, but I kinda feel mislead. Anyway… that’s my rant… I’m going to go play games with my kid now. Anyone buying from amazon beware. You may not get what you’re expecting. Item descriptions are vague and possibly deliberately misleading.
