KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING
By PAPA on Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2017
There are reviews critical that this doesn't operate like a 1500psi power washer, well operating on a 20v battery I can't imagine anyone who would actually expect it to. Or that it doesn't do any better than a narrow garden hose nozzle. I have had a couple weeks use on my purchase & am by no means disappointed. More than adequate pressure to get the grim off metal siding, patio floor & decking and washing the car (without stripping off decals). I installed a garden hose quick-coupler on the Hydroshot & use with garden hose, haven't tried the syphon tubing that is supplied with kit. Spray won't quite reach second floor windows however being so portable a trip up a step ladder with the Hydroshot solves that shortcoming. Battery life is short, 20min at best however for me not an issue, I have several other Worx 20v tools , (two of which are 4ah) and a 30min quick charger, which would lead me to advise purchasing extra batteries if you have large projects to accomplish. I did find that extensive use the motor housing gets very warm, even hot to the touch which needs consideration in use. Which brings to mind that to get the Worx 3yr warranty you must register your purchase with Worx at THEIR website, so if the heating issue I experienced produces a problem it is covered. The big plus using this tool is how little water is used. Washing the car & spraying down the driveway I no longer have a small creek running down my curb as is the case with a garden hose nozzle I used in the past & still get the same results, a clean car & driveway! Anything I have used the Hydoshot for does what is intended & the job dries quickly because of the minimal amount of water used (half a gallon per minute). For me that is in itself reason enough to purchase this tool. This is not a gas or 120VAC pressure washer & doesn't pretend to be. It is a very portable, battery operated, sprayer for close concentrated use. The only improvement I would make? Have the wand rotate 90degrees so that you can index the flat spray nozzles either horizontal or vertical, eliminating the need to rotate the entire tool & hose. I might add, a garden hose DOESNOT have greater pressure as some have implied, I measured. A garden hose has greater VOLUME giving the appearance of greater pressure. A garden hose has typically 40 to 80PSI & 5 to 15GPM. Don't believe me, check it out for yourself. Using the Hydroshot you won't need wading boots to wash down the patio. . . . .

BIG disappointment!
By Granville W. Angell on Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2018
I did a fair amount of research, looking into buying this product - even called the company - and I can only say this Hydroshot is highly misrepresented in terms of performance. Something I rarely do is ignore the customer reviews, but unfortunately, I did this time! More than once, I read a review where the customer complained that the pressure was no more than their city water. Well, I have deep well water and would love to have pressure stepped up to equal city water, I reasoned. It would be worth it not to have to lug the pressure washer around every time! This Hydroshot was a major disappointment! Basically, it took my deep well house water and compressed it into a very narrow stream, which seemed not to have even the pressure of the water from the well pump. And it certainly did not have the volume. I washed the car, taking longer than usual, because of the reduced volume. When it dried, it still had the layer of road film on it. It took longer than using the brush-nozzle and still looked like it had not been washed. While waiting for the car to dry, I started on our deck. The stream was so fine and weak that it didn't clean any dirt or pollen off the deck nor the furniture. I seriously wondered what I could do with this product, since it clearly was not living up to its huckster claims. Nothing. This would be another product that would wind up in the storage shed, an unused candidate for some archeological dig in the distant future. Thank goodness for Amazon's decent return plan! ... and for my not putting off checking this product out during the return widow! I didn't pay enough attention to customer reviews... and paid the price in time and inconvenience. (Note to self: don't be such a sucker for gimmicks!)
