Saves counter space and works better than any microwave. It pops the entire bag of popcorn!

This is NOT the appliance being advertised in the pics!

Horrible. The picture of the microwave drawer is stainless steel. The seller used false advertising, as that is NOT what this appliance. It’s a BALCK “stainless steel”. If you’re selling a “black stainless steel” appliance, why not use that picture when you are advertising it? Instead, they used a typical, normal stainless steel photo. By the time we got to installing it from our kitchen remodel and realized we what this seller had done, they refused to exchange it. Stay away from these crooks! $1300 loss. I just wish people could make a living honestly!

Surprising Customer Service

Tanner Appliance went beyond the call of duty to resolve a problem with a damaged microwave. Technically it was not their problem. However, Ben was courteous, contacted Sharp and fixed the issue. Nowadays it's hard to find this kind of customer service after the sale is completed and beyond the 30 day return policy. Thank you Ben. I don't have the microwave installed yet so I can't leave a product review at this time. I previously had a Sharp drawer microwave that lasted 12 years before we moved and as far as I know, it's still running.
I like it but there are a few drawbacks

It's a great looking microwave. Pretty quiet. I love the flip down control panel. I have a neurological condition which causes my hands to shake uncontrollably so that's the main reason I wanted to get a drawer model. .My old microwave was above the stove, so spilling the contents of the food containers was a regular occurrence. Lifting the food up from the oven is a lot safer. However, there are a few cons that I want to share. I find it annoying to have to enter in the entire cook time number by number. I also miss having a turntable to fully circulate the food with the heat. I also can't stand up my microwave in-package rice because the interior is not tall enough. Very annoying.

No more large black microwave sticking out of the wall

This microwave works great. The "one button" features are awesome. Just touch the reheat button, press close to close the door and press start. It reheats foods perfectly. Some goes for the defrost function. Very handy and useful. We were concerned that it would be too low, but found that the height was no problem. In fact, it seems to be better than our microwave in the wall, especially when food needs to be stirred. Another great feature is that there is no need for a rotating platform, because the magnetron (the thing that generates the microwaves) is just above the food, so there is no need to rotate the food. And the best feature is that there is no microwave sticking out of the wall!
This microwave drawer ROCKS!

We absolutely love this microwave! It is so easy to work and the space inside is great. Lifting your items out of it instead of lowering them from over the range is so much safer & easier. One good piece of information everyone should know: every brand of microwave drawer is made by Sharp & they are all the same size. If you purchase anything other than a 24" Sharp microwave drawer, you're just paying more for the brand name; a couple aesthetic features on the control panel; & if you want a 30" one, a panel that makes the 24" one LOOK larger. As we were hunting for the largest, best looking, most featured microwave drawer, one very helpful salesperson gave us the above info to help us save $. After learning this, we began asking, because most won't offer, & found it to all be true. Hope this helps in your search; I know it really helped us.
Show Stopper. Conversation Piece.

Of all my appliances this was the most expensive but one of the coolest and definitely a conversation piece. Generally, the microwave in a nicely done kitchen is the eyesore. I didn't want one mounted about the stove because that reminds me of an apartment. Make sure you mount it correctly and just under the ledge of the counter top. It's very convenient to put stuff down into it rather than pull things out of the microwave especially with liquids.

Great under-counter microwave, scratches easily

We’ve been using this microwave for over a year now. It’s beautiful to look at, easy to use and clean, and very accessible. We bought the black stainless model to match some of our other kitchen appliances. While beautiful to look at, the film used to give it the black stainless look does scratch pretty easily. It’s a shame this film wasn’t more durable or, at least, easily repaired. While the microwave has plenty of power to heat foods, it is slightly underpowered compared to some of the newer countertop microwaves and requires you to add a little more time to heating up meals than what the instructions on the meal box might say. This microwave is closer to the 900-950w range while most meals nowadays are expecting 1000-1100w. At worst, it adds about 30-60 to cooking times. It’s not bad, just something to plan for. Food does cook pretty evenly and we haven’t run into issues of burning food. The input keypad is easy to read and use. However, the extra steps needed to use some of the specialty keys (like beverage reheating), require you to look at the label below the keypad that is hidden behind the door. So you need to be able to read it before closing the door and, already being an under counter microwave, you have to bend down to be able to see it. It’s like they took a setup intended for counter height and left it alone instead of tailoring it to work for under counters. Again, not a deal breaker but it would have made the experience even better. The accessibility is top notch. That was the main reason for us buying it. We didn’t want another microwave eating up countertop space, so we originally looked at above the stove microwaves. However, with the wife being disabled and a little one using the microwave, the dangers of have to reach over your head to grab hot and potentially heavy objects was not going to work for us. Being under the countertop makes it much easier and safer to remove hot and heavy dishes from. After being spoiled now with an under counter microwave, I can’t see having it any other way.

Great microwave until ya have to clean it. Have you ever cleaned a drawer in place with food all over it from children? Who am I kidding this just added to the drawers in the house I have to clean now, except this one gets exceptionally messy. My sisters kids absolutely love it though because its at a height they can operate the controls to make corndogs. If it were easier to clean I would give it 10/10 but because of the difficulty I’ve had cleaning it I’m gonna give it a 7.
