I needed to replace my nearly ten-year-old wireless to get better speed and range. The AC1900 was highly rated by several reviewers, and the fact I could get a "refurbished" one for half price sealed the deal. The device came in a brown cardboard box with a small instruction sheet, power supply, and short Ether net cable. It took minutes to physically install, and then just a few minutes more to go online and complete the configuration. The only problem I had was using WPS to connect my HP 4700 printer. It took several tries but finally connected Wireless speeds are faster and the range is greater than the old unit. At our winter house in the remote San Diego desert we use Viasat satellite internet so this works fine with their modem. A fine router at a great refurbished price. I could see no signs the device had ever been used. It looked brand new.

It was working just fine for about 4 full month. The speed and futures are fine along with signal strength. Parental controls are junk. Blocking one web site you give that router ability to block any other as well like it has mind on its own. Lets say I block roblox.com, youtube and zoom goes along with it. That is really annoying. And then it happen - I lost my internet connection. I have try everything before calling tech support. Lady on the other end of the line speaks with heavy accent. It is so bad that i have to ask for another rep. 45 minutes later i was told my device is (Renewed) one and warranty covers it only for 90 days. I was offered 10% discount if I am willing to buy new router from Linksys directly and there nothing else they can do to solve my problem. Wait time for new router to be delivered about 5 days in my case. Got my self a TP-link next day morning. Works like a charm and much more advanced. Setup was a blast. No more LINKSYS for me.
