This rolling pin is fab !

I bought this rolling pin to replace an old one that has become nicked and scratched over the years of use. The new one is smooth and so beautiful that I don't want to mess it up! I must say that it is also the nicest one I've ever owned. the weight of it and its free rolling action makes the task of rolling out pie dough so quick and pleasant that I will not dread pie making ever again! I intend to buy another to give my daughter-in-law who does a lot of baking...then there's my daughter...and granddaughter...and good friend........ Buy one for yourself and everyone else who loves to bake!

Warning the description is misleading.

While this is a quality rolling pin I down graded it because the description was misleading. The word stationary was in the description but it also included a warning not to wash the pin as it would cause the rod and bearings to rust. So since I didn't take notice of the word "stationary" (and realized that it meant that the handles were glued on) in the description when reading through the the ad I was expecting a pin with the rod and bearings that the description warned about. Unfortunately I ordered two to use in my classes and the cost to return is just too high so we are stuck with a product that is different than we need.
