Apple iMac MK482LL/A 27-Inch Retina 5K Display Desktop (Inte (Open Box)

I did not like how painful the "hybrid drive" was set up, with the SSD automatically grabbing all data and filling itself up while storing nothing on the HDD, until I went through hours of manual intervention. Then, after less than a week using this machine for 5-8 hours per day, it suddenly shut off in the middle of my work in a document. Thought maybe there was a power flux, so I waited a few minutes and turned it back on. 20 minutes later, it shut off again and would not turn back on. I waited an hour, it allowed me to restart long enough to wipe my data and put it back in the box to be returned. Not accustomed to this lack of reliability from a Mac, very disappointed in the purchase. Google quickly showed me this is not a rare problem with the 27-inch iMac, and Apple has often reported an inability to duplicate customers' experience with these random shutdowns. No thanks. I did appreciate how quickly Amazon processed my return, within one week I had a full refund. Lessened the pain.
