Excellent product

This foldable camp bunk is perfect for when we have family or visitors stay over. It’s easy to set up, although I would not recommend letting a child do it alone, as it is sturdy and heavy. With a sleeping bag, a fluffy pillow and warm bedding, this offers good comfort and a good nights sleep. Plus my grandchildren think it’s cool that they have their own clamp on reading light! Great camp cots - TERRIBLE service
By C. R. Smith on Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2024
I ordered a “used, like new” Disc-O-Bunk from AMAZON, so that if there were any issues with it, AMAZON could easily help me, because that’s what I wanted to do. Nah. Placing my order with Amazon certainly doesn’t mean Amazon has anything to DO with sale, product, or service - I guess they just get the money. Of course it was from a third party seller, Spreetail. This information only appeared clearly after my money was taken, in my order details. Spreetail does not inspect their returns, at all, very obviously, so the bunk that was supposedly in excellent used condition, in exchange for a VERY small discount, was trashed. It had obviously been intentionally bought by someone for a single camping trip, used heavily on that camping trip, and then haphazardly thrown randomly back in its bags, unsecured, covered in mud. I kid you not, the $50 discount I risked resulted in me having to scrub literal mud out of a $350 item as soon as it arrived, after near nonexistent, incredibly thoughtless packing caused even MORE damage to it. The bags are punched full of holes because the ends of the pipes cut them when the package was thrown around some more in transit, because the package wasn’t PACKED in any real way. The pipes HAVE nice elastic holders in each bag to prevent this exact thing, but nobody had LOOKED at what they resold to me, after it had been returned, so they were still all just loose. These beds weigh at least 100lbs, together, and the packing by Spreetail consisted of thin cardboard wrapped around them and tightly taped, with no padding of any kind. Literally More tape than cardboard, even. The carrying bags are destroyed, but Spreetail has no idea if they HAVE those bags to send me as replacements, despite Disc-O-Bed readily selling them for $28 each, on their website. I offered to send a link to the exact part I need replaced, but they don’t have any interest in that. I guess there is no warehouse inventory system at Spreetail, so I get to hope that maybe they have the bags and can find them. I really don’t feel like spending another $60 to buy bags I should already have, for a mud-stained camp bunk. They were able to send me another locking strap, for the one that seemed to be entirely missing, without hassle, so I guess the “we aren’t sure if we have that” only applies to certain parts or is only a thing for certain customer service people. Speaking to representatives on the phone was super hit-or-miss, one guy was super attentive and helpful about the missing strap, and when I called back about the shredded bags, the woman could barely keep her attention on anything I said, she was so busy doing something else at the same time. Nobody could find my order based on the order number until I repeated it at least three times, but that might be language barrier stuff. Real mad at the absolute mess that was sent to me in “like new” condition. The beds themselves are GREAT, these are the e knew to get for sure. VERY solidly built, really nice powder coating on all the metal, the canvas is actual utility quality, and this scrubs out really well, with some Shout, I now know, after never using the things myself. They’re heavy, yeah, and they wobble side to side like any cot, no matter what you do, of course. Super comfy and sturdy and stable, the XL is wide enough for a kid to sleep with an adult, or big spoons, though two adults that aren’t very close might be crammed pretty tightly. I’d definitely buy these again, just never ever again on Amazon. I’ll be dealing with the Disc-O-Bed website itself, henceforth, this transaction was wildly unacceptable. Spreetail couldn’t have ebayed this one for $150, the way they sent it to me, but hey, they got over twice that, by just not caring about their customers.

We drove from Texas to Alaska and this was one of the best purchases ahead of that long haul trip! I’m not sure how some people said it was unstable. My (250lb) husband slept on the top in a moving van and climbed up there without any issue. It doesnt click in but its snug. This was super easy go assemble. The side pockets were amazing for storage and night stand type stuff easy to access. These are also super comfortable without any sort of pad, but I imagine it would be icing on the cake. Stackable feature made it possible to fit in our 250 transit and really maximized space. We were able to even have some storage under the bottom bunk. Id say probably up to 6-8 inches before i could feel it under my back. I went on another trip and honestly thought I could go a few more days because they were so comfortable to sleep in! I will agree with comments, I wouldn’t want this for say backpacking. This isnt the light weight option but I don’t imagine many going on overnight excursions would think this is a necessary packing item. This is excellent for tent camping parked nearby. Super easy to set up with one person as stated. We were concerned letting the dogs up there would scratch it up and rip the fabric but nay nay! Dirt comes right off and no scratches after daily dog usage for about 3 weeks worth of time. Worth every penny y’all. This is also great to have if you need extra beds for guests like if they have kids or teens
Fantastic and sturdy for larger framed adults.

Exactly as advertised. They are very well constructed easy to set up & and hold my 330lbs body with confidence. It's a little heavy but that should be expected with the high weight limit of these. The stacking bunk setup saves so much sapce. These were a great buy.
Best camping bunk option available

I've seen (in person) several bunk options from various manufacturers over the last decade and this is by far the most sturdy, comfortable, and safe product I've seen yet. I am very pleased with the build quality and while it is a little heavier than most XL cots (one oversized Coleman model weighs in at close to 20lbs for example where these are closer to 35 each), they are constructed for use as bunks and I will no doubt still be using these in 10 years or more with no issues. I for one have no issue with the weight considering the durability and weight capacity these bunks offer. One of my biggest complaints in using a "standard" army style cot or collapsible style cot is middle supports often end up poking in your back. In the case of army style cots it's usually the crossbar in the middle which becomes more evident as the cot stretches over time and with collapsible cots, the folding leg sections along the sides (which invariably start to tear away over time and poke through). There is no middle crossbar on the Cam-O-Bunks and there is a satisfying amount of stretch in the fabric for a firm but still comfortable sleeping surface. I intend to try a thick self inflating mattress for an even better night's sleep in the near future. During a particularly bad storm while tent camping, my 9yr old son left his bunk and slept with me in mine. While it was a little tight with the two of us, it wasn't impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep given the size of the XL cots. I would like to add that my cot headboards/footboards arrived slightly damaged from not having protection during transit between the poles and the headboard sections. While I have been told that Disc-O-Bed will be providing a built-in solution to that problem in 2015 with a redesigned bag, I would recommend owners insert something (carboard, thin foam, etc) between the poles and the headboards to avoid chipping and scraping during transit. Customer service at Disc-O-Bed was A+++ and they promptly exchanged my bed pieces. I would also like to mention that due to the sloping angles of many dome tents, you might want to consider doing some quick height/width tent measurements before you order to make sure your bed will have enough room in bunk configuration, especially if you are using extenders.
AMAZING and strong Bunk beds

We're actually using this as bunk beds for our Huskies. We ended up buying the Extra Large and they absolutely love it!! 6 of them can fit on it comfortably at once. We even lay on it with 3 of our 70lb Huskies at once at it feels safe and sturdy. Our Dogs have destroyed dog beds and other cots we've bought for them in the past, but this one is still standing strong. Heavy Duty materials used. My dogs have been able to scratch holes in the cot, but the holes don't rip open, so we're still happy with the construction and durability of the beds as other cots have ripped apart as soon as the smallest hole is in it and the dogs lay on it. Highly recommend as portable Bunk beds or Dog beds. Our dogs Love jumping and laying on the top bunk. Would absolutely purchase again.......and we actually did kind of...we purchased the children's bunkbed also. That one the cot isn't as durable as the adult version, but still Very Nice. 20 Thumbs up!

We bought the XL bunk as a temporary spot in our van for a cross country trip. We were able to sleep two more adults. One is about 6'3" 230 and the other is about 5'4" 180. Not only did it work well in the van, when we got to our destination, we put it up in the room for more comfy sleeping space. We did not use it as a couch. Seems like it would be easy to do that though. Set up was pretty straight forward but not as easy as we thought it would be. Maybe after a few times it will get easier.
This is not for traveling around with, it is heavy

Once put together, it seemed sturdy. You will need a high quality mattress to put on top for comfort. Very heavy and not ideal for being dismantled and put back together every time you go somewhere.
Very solid and comfortable. Heavy though

I'm a big fan of these bunk bed cots. Solid and sturdy, comfortable to sleep on, and easy to set up. They are quite heavy! I got 2 sets (sleeps 4) and it's a lot to carry, even across a car campsite. The footprint is big, but I went for the X-large size so that's no surprise. Fills up my 10x10 foot canvas tent with a bit of a walkway in the middle. Storage room under the cot helps..

I purchased the xl size disc-o bed and I love it. I am an avid outdoorsman and having great reliable gear is worth a lot to me. I was on the edge of this purchase because of the price and what I may get, but I will say these are rugged, sturdy and comfortable. I will say these are a little heavier to handle. The idea of a stackable cot is great for space saving. Hundred percent satisfied on this purchase.

This bed is not a joke. It is heavy duty and strong. We got the beds for a trip up north to deliver and install a kitchen for my grand sons new home. We will use the beds after that in our storm shelter or for guests that pop in. This is not a bed that you would back pack on a hike in the hills but if you did you would have a great night sleep.
