KAVU Mondo Spender Trifold Wallet Clutch

Love the pattern and bought to match my Kavu Rope Sling Backpack. It fits well in the backpack and I like that it is water resistant like the bag. I only gave the wallet 3 stars b/c there isn't enough pockets inside for cards and it bulges when closed even with few items inside. When opened there is one row for cards with 2 pockets behind and then a large pocket up top. I wish there was a 2nd row for cards. I keep gift cards and insurance cards in there as well. I think the top pocket is made for a checkbook and then I thought who carries a checkbook anymore but when I read the reviews apparently there are at least one person that still does LOL. Not me (I'm over 40) and I doubt many younger people do. So, I put my gift cards in upper pocket as you can see in the pic (took my licence out for photo lol). Problem is you can't put too much in there or when you close it it bulges out (see 2nd pic). I don't have a lot in there and it won't lay flat for me. I read a question where someone asked about their phone. I can fit my Iphone 8 in the upper pocket but it closes even worse then. Buttons (barely) but doesn't look good and I'd be worried it would mess up the button.
