The NEW 2024 Model: SNT2134!
By M13804 on Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2024
I’ve had it for about a month, and I am excited to share my experience with the newest EGO SNT2134 snow blower for 2024, as it has exceeded all my expectations. Whether you’re dealing with light, powdery snow or heavy, wet accumulations, this machine is a game changer. It combines power, convenience, and thoughtful design into an incredibly effective tool for winter maintenance. Here’s a breakdown of my experience with this snow blower in detail. The performance of the EGO SNT2134 is outstanding. Even with only a one-stage system, it powers through snowfalls even over 8 inches with ease, even when the snow is wet and compacted. The machine throws snow far enough to keep cleared areas clean, which is particularly useful for larger driveways and paths. It handles packed snowbanks left by plows like a pro, chewing through them without slowing down. What’s even more impressive is that it goes beyond the advertised ability to clear snow for 14 cars. I’ve cleared significantly more, including walkways, patios, and my neighbor’s driveway, all in one session. The dual battery system is a marvel of efficiency and power. With two 56V ARC Lithium batteries, I’ve been able to clear large areas without worrying about running out of power. The battery life is consistent, and I haven’t noticed any drop in performance, even during longer uses. Recharging is quick and convenient, typically taking less time than expected, which means I’m never left stranded if I need to tackle a second round of snow removal later in the day. The battery compatibility with other EGO tools is another bonus, making it easy to swap batteries across devices if needed. The maneuverability of the EGO SNT2134 is truly unmatched. While it is a single-stage snow blower, the thoughtful design and enhancements make it feel like it’s gliding effortlessly over any surface. This year’s model comes with upgraded skid shoes, which are a game-changer. Unlike most snow blowers that either miss patches of snow or get stuck on cracks and uneven surfaces, this one makes perfect contact with the ground at all times. The skid shoes help it float over cracks, seams, and imperfections in driveways or sidewalks without getting caught, ensuring a smooth and efficient clearing process. The lightweight construction further enhances its usability. Even though the wheels are not powered, pushing and maneuvering the machine feels effortless, thanks to its balanced weight distribution and sturdy design. Whether I’m clearing wide driveways or navigating around tight spaces and corners, the snow blower remains easy to control and responsive. This combination of stability and ease of use is rare, making the EGO SNT2134 stand out from the competition. The comfort features on the EGO SNT2134 make a world of difference. The heated grips are a lifesaver on frigid mornings, keeping my hands warm and comfortable even during extended use. They heat up quickly and maintain a steady warmth that feels great when the temperature dips below freezing. The LED headlights are another fantastic addition, providing bright, clear illumination for early morning or evening snow clearing. I no longer have to struggle to see obstacles or edges in low light conditions. The handles are well-padded and ergonomically designed, reducing fatigue even after prolonged use. The build quality of the EGO SNT2134 is excellent. It feels solid and well constructed without being overly heavy or bulky. The materials used are durable and able to withstand tough winter conditions. The auger is solid and well built, and the chute adjustment mechanism is smooth and easy to operate. It’s clear that this snow blower is built to last, and it gives me confidence that it will handle years of heavy use without issue. One of the reasons I chose the EGO SNT2134 over a traditional gas powered snow blower was the environmental aspect. This battery powered model eliminates the need for gas and oil, making it cleaner, quieter, and far more eco-friendly. There’s no exhaust to worry about, and I can use it at any time of day without disturbing my neighbors. The quiet operation is a major plus, especially compared to the loud roar of gas-powered alternatives. Maintenance has been a breeze. With no gas, oil, or spark plugs to deal with, I simply check the batteries and ensure the auger is clear after each use. The compact design also makes it easy to store. I appreciate how the handle folds down, allowing me to tuck it neatly into my garage without taking up much space. The lack of fumes and mess means it’s also cleaner to store indoors, which is a big bonus. While the EGO SNT2134 may seem like an investment upfront, it delivers incredible value for money. Its combination of power, battery efficiency, comfort, and durability makes it worth every penny. Considering the time and effort it saves me during snow season, I view it as an essential tool that’s paid for itself in convenience alone. The fact that it’s environmentally friendly and low-maintenance only adds to the overall value. The EGO SNT2134 is a top-tier snow blower that checks every box for performance, ease of use, comfort, and environmental responsibility. It has made snow removal faster, easier, and far more enjoyable than I thought possible. If you’re looking for a snow blower that combines power, battery efficiency, maneuverability, and thoughtful features like heated grips and LED lights, this is the one to get. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-performing snow blower.

Cheap plastic scraper bar will wear out in about 3 uses.
By Dan on Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2025
The cheap, plastic Scraper Bar wears out easily and has to be replaced to keep the metal parts of the underside from grinding away on the pavement. For me, this was after 3 uses. The unit does not come with skid feet to help keep the scraper bar from being damaged. The lack of skid feet also means that you will be slammed to a halt every time the unit runs across an uneven spot in the pavement. To add skid feet, you must buy aftermarket parts, drill holes in the unit (often requiring you to file the hole square to accommodate carriage bolts), and attach the skid feet yourself. There are dozens of You-Tube Videos addressing this problem and work around. Or you could but a new scraper bar every three uses, flip the machine on its side to unscrew the old one, and screw on the new one. The unit also throws a ton of snow (wet and powder) forward as well as back into previously cleared areas. I had to keep my garage door closed to keep a layer of snow from being ejected into it, and I had to redo entire sections. I never had these problems with my Greenworks cordless snow blower. I had the Greenworks unit for six years and never had to replace the scraper blade, I could leave my garage door open, never had to redo a section. The only reason I switched was because my previous cordless snow blower was a little underpowered and the battery life was starting to become an issue. I didn't even know about skid feet and scraper bars until I started having issues with my new Ego. Other models of Ego Snowblowers have skid feet. If I had known about these problems, I would have picked one of those. I don't know why they would even make a model without them. It seems like with all the You-tube videos out there addressing the problem they must know about it. I am severely disappointed The battery life of the Ego snow blower is vastly superior. I was going to switch all my lawn equipment out to Ego because I like having only one brand of battery to keep track of and also to have extra batteries available. The lack of durability and the fact that they are offering products with what seems like a well known issue has me rethinking.
