This lamp has four presets—Reading, Study, Relax, and Sleep—with five dimmer adjustments for each preset, for a total of 20 different light settings. Each preset has a slightly different color. For example, Relax and Sleep are both a bit more orange, to lull you into a dusky mood. There is also a timer and a place to charge a USB device. The lamp has a weighted base, and all the surfaces are sleek with a nice sheen without being too shiny. The lamp has a pleasant, clean, modern look. I liked it so well that I plan on getting another to replace my living room table lamps. One of the features that is often overlooked in furniture and fixtures is portability. This lamp is not bulky. It does not take up a ridiculous amount of table space to yield a nice amount of light. It folds up into a very compact item if you need to move. If it could be improved at all, I would say I'd like to see greater range of motion in its swivel ability, as well as the addition of solar capabilities (I have purchased a lamp similar to this one with solar, but it was not nearly as sleek or as large as this one). If you purchase this lamp, you will not be disappointed. I love mine.
