keeps my iPhone from shattering and I drop the phone fewer times

I don't us my IPhone without an otter box--the phone is too slick. I drop it too much. The otter box prevents me from dropping the phone and, when I do drop it, the face does not shatter. So what if the otter box isn't perfectly scratch resistant. That doesn't matter to me.

Didn't last a year before coming apart

The black rubber slowly disconnected from the clear plastic over time. Started early, with the black rubber buckling. It wasn't so bad, and the case still worked, but the black rubber finally gave out and freed itself from the clear plastic. Seems super cheap, especially for an OtterBox product.
