NutriChef Electric Air Fryer

I hesitated about buying an air fryer as I found it hard to believe that it would produce foods that were similar to fried foods. I finally bit the bullet and bought the Nutrichef Digital. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. I have made breaded chicken cutlets, frozen pot stickers, onion petals and home made potato chips and homemade French fries. The products were crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. Please note that I use a spray pump bottle to mist a little oil on the outside surfaces of the food before cooking While you could tell a difference from deep fried, it was close enough to satisfy my "fried food" cravings without all the fat and associate extra calories. The color tends to be a bit uneven but within an acceptable range. I suggest that you try making pieces that are fairly uniform in thickness to prevent overbrowning The fryer itself was well constructed and the basket goes in and out easily ( a complaint on some other air fryers). However you need to know that the basket is small. This is great for two people but larger families would need a much bigger unit. As I have read in many reviews of many of the air fryers out there, suggested times are generally wrong. In my case most were too long. The time will also vary depending on how full you make the basket. My only real negative is the instructions are not very good. It talks about a warm up button that doesn't exist (maybe it is the on/off button)
