Sleep Pretty in Pink Ear Plugs

Ok, so in all fairness, I have ordered these once before, and there really wasn’t anything wrong with them, but just not as quality, comfortable, or effective as some of the other brands I have used. If this review was based on my 1st purchase, it would be a 3-star review. They are smaller, so the concept is great. But, they went on sale during Prime day, so I thought it was worth it to grab another box. If I could give this 2nd box negative stars, I would, because, well, they earned it. But alas, zero stars isn’t even an option, so 1 star it is. 1st - the box was previously opened. Not just opened, but had been ripped open. It wasn’t even taped back shut. It was obviously returned by someone else & then shipped back out to another customer. 2nd - thus set is defective. Whoever was working in quality control should be fired. They are clumped - stuck together in misshapen clumps of little pink ear plugs. I thought, well they’re foam. I should have returned them just out of principle, but for the gas it would cost me to drive to the nearest drop off location for Amazon returns from where I live, I’d be loosing money. So I thought I’d try to make the best of it and get some value for my money. Salvage & use what I can. I’m using them for sleeping, not as ear protection in a safety capacity, so something is better than nothing. I was wrong. They’re meant to be squeezed & reshaped to fit into your ears. So, I carefully disassembled the clumps, thinking they would retake their shape & would be fine. That was true for maybe half of them. The rest remain misshapen little pieces of hard foam. Yes - they are all very stiff, even the “ok” ones. They are difficult to fit into my ear canal because they are so stiff, and offer very little noise reduction. It’s 3 am and I’m laying here being kept wide awake by the snoring with rather uncomfortable, but cute, little pink, ineffective ear plugs in. Lesson learned.
