Great boots!

I could not find a good lace-up work boot in the traditional western wear lines, so I thought I would try a military style boot. I had a pair that worked well but had deep treads that accumulated mud. The Garmont boots were great! They were very comfortable and the soles gripped well but did not accumulate too much mud. I was initially disappointed to find the canvas material in the back of the heel (8" tops) begin to tear after a couple of months. There was a one year warranty, so I contacted the company and they immediately sent me replacement boots. It made me question their quality, but my son is in the Texas Guard and wears Garmonts a lot and he has not had quality problems. This seemed to be an isolated instance, which I understand. I am definitely a Garmont fan!

I purchased these boots in mid-April, and while I’m active duty military, I primarily work in an office environment with minimal wear and tear. I was surprised and disappointed to see the boots already tearing in multiple places after such light use. Given the short amount of time I’ve had them and the fact that they haven’t been exposed to field conditions, I believe this is a manufacturing defect. I would appreciate the opportunity to receive a replacement pair or guidance on how to resolve this issue. I really liked the comfort and fit, but the durability needs to match the quality expected from a product marketed for military use.
