3 Models of Skechers With Different Fit and Features
By cynicator on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2017
Very recently bought a pair of these, and a pair of Skechers for Work Men's Flex Advantage Slip Resistant Mcallen Slip On through Amazon, as well as a pair of Skechers Sport Men's Equalizer Double Play Slip-On Loafer (bought in a brick & mortar outlet in Sept. '16). All were purchased in men's size 9, and can pass for casual shoes rather than looking like typical running shoes or "sneakers" Despite the uncertainty of purchasing shoes online, I went ahead and did it. Here's my experience: Sport Men's Equalizer Double Play Slip-On Loafer: Because these were the first pair I bought, (again, in a brick and mortar outlet where I could try them on), I used them as the "standard" by which to judge the others. These are very light, and roomy to the point where I felt they may come off my feet in periods of high activity. They're fine for just walking around or hanging out on the deck, by the grill, or other leisurely activities. The toe has a wider "box", and my feet don't feel cramped at all. Very comfy, but not for active sports, plus they don't look so much like "sneakers", and, thankfully, have only minimal orange-colored accents or flair. The inner sole is wide; too wide for my narrow foot, and flat. There's no material inside the shoe that provides any amount of arch support. (My doctor has told me I have flat feet, but have never noticed any pain from shoes that provide no extra arch support. If you're in need of that, don't expect it from these shoes). Even with socks, they still fit comfortably loose. Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible: These are very light, but very snug, obviously not made from the same last/form as the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons. VERY snug for a size 9 These are much narrower, with a more sharply-rounded toe, and some leather-like material around the toe and the heel. The sole, also, is much narrower than the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons. While I can wear these for a few hours, they're too snug for all-day wear. I should have ordered a size 9 1/2, but again, the size I picked was based on how the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons fit. I probably should have returned these, but I've been wearing them for a couple of days and the soles have begun to show the wear. I'll likely order these in a 9 1/2 for extra comfort. Thankfully, these have no neon-colored accents. Skechers for Work Men's Flex Advantage Slip Resistant Mcallen Slip On These fit very much like the Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible: narrower, and very snug compared to the Equalizer Double-Play Slip-Ons, apparently built from a smaller last/form than those. These do have some arch support, a very different sole/tread pattern, and are stiffer than either of the other pair. These, too, are very light, with some leather-like material on the outside of the shoe around the toe and heel. Like the Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible, I can wear these for a few hours, but will likely order a pair in 9 1/2. These, too, lack any flashy colors or accents and can pass for "casual shoes" instead of looking like sneakers. Bottom line: it seems as if Skechers has either changed the last/mold/form they use to make their size 9's, (at least since I bought my first pair in Sept. '16), or they use different ones for different models; I don't know for sure. If you can end-up with the right size, these should prove to be comfy for all-day wear. Except for the Sport Men's Equalizer Double Play Slip-On Loafer, you might do best to order 2 pairs: 1 in your normal size, plus one in a half-size larger, and fully expect to return one of the pair.

Perfect for Those Who Have Sensitive Feet; Run Somewhat Large ...

"Skechers Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible Walking Shoe" is a very comfortable shoe - for those whose feet are sensitive to seams or the "rubbing" of well-fitted shoes. These soft shoes have no seams in areas that might bother sensitive feet. Although the fit is somewhat larger than average which also helps make them more comfortable for sensitive feet, it is not so large that the shoe slips off. The soft white sole does not leave marks on floors - something I appreciate after removing numerous black marks caused by my husband's Crocs. A size 11D in Brooks running shoes is perfect for my husband. These "Skechers Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible Walking Shoe" were slightly loose unless he wore them with athletic socks and an ankle brace. The shoes measured about 11 1/4" from center back to center front. The width of the heel area was not tapered and measured approximately 2 5/8" from side to side; the area for the ball of the foot measured about 3 3/8" across. The arch measured about 2 1/2" from side to side. For those having feet sensitive to seams and those who prefer a fit that is not snug, "Skechers Performance Men's Go Walk 4 Incredible Walking Shoe" may be the answer. These make a very good house shoe or slipper and are reasonably priced.
Great pair of shoes to have for daily walks!

I wear size 8 mens EUR 41 for my running shoes but looks like 7.5 should fit me the best since it feels like more room is available. I tried Amazon customer care to exchange for a smaller size but they weren't helpful at all. I wasted 2 hours over span of 3 days only to find out that this is not possible. I made this purchase since I walk 20 mins to my work. With these I feel like floating. I usually walk fast so with some shoes I develop pain in my shin when I do so, not with this pair. I haven't used it for long, maybe I would update my review after I use them for a while. To Summarize in points Likes:- - Really Light weight shoes with adequate cushioning. - Bamboo lined footbed is great for sweaty feet and keeps them dry. I wear with no show socks. - Tapering midfoot design for improved arch support, Read more here https://patents.google.com/patent/US20170224049A1/en. This solves my problem of pain in shin when walking fast with other shoes. - Opening on the back, helps to pull this out or carry them like on sandy beach etc. - Vibrant color. Mesh design is great for air circulation Things to work upon. - Sizing might be little off. I recommend going 1/2 size down. More because these are slip-ons and if you have like a finger gap between the heel and the shoes it feels like they will come off. - Mesh are great for summer but in winters it can be chilly feet. Also he tread isn't great on Snow/ice. I am in Minneapolis and take sky ways on snowy/chilly days otherwise just wear my snow shoes. - Color scheme can be made better.I like mine by it can be improved. - Tread can be made better to deal with wet/slippery ground. **Update 07/15/18** I made an update like 2 weeks before but I don't see it so I assume it wasn't approved. After 5 months of regular use (2 miles daily) these has rips on the ankle area. I noticed, since my socks had a hole and I never had holes in my socks before. I have posted a pic of the rip. Quick solution was getting heel liner from Walmart. I hope it helps to other in similar situation, also use insoles to make up for the little extra wiggle if needed. I will update once I learn something more worth sharing. Happy walking!

I love these shoes. In the past I have purchased a similar shoe in the Walk About line. They were great. That shoe has been discontinued. I decided to try these and I wasn't disappointed. The toe looks different but the shoe feels the same. I have foot pain and these shoes are so comfortable I forget that problem. I will buy more of these as the meet my needs.
This is my 2nd pair of these shoes

I really loved the first pair so much I wore them until they wore out and then some. Getting caught on a door was the last straw. I'm not sure if they mailed me M instead of 3E but they are defitinetly not extra wide this time. I will stretch into them over time but it was a chore to get them on the first time. Moral. Good shoe. I'm not sure I got the correct size. Update 5/22/2020. They fit fine after 24 hours (2 shifts on my feet) they are light weight and comfortable. They offer very little protection from banging your toes or stuff like that. **** if you have a hard time putting on shoes due to flexibility for w/e reason and have a wide foot you might not like this when you get them. They are a hard fight the first 24 hours of wear on a wide foot. That said these are great shoes for the price and a joy to wear when my foot is swollen.

Comfy shoe, light and sturdy with good sizing options for normal and wide feet.

These are great. Costco has been phasing them out plus they didn't carry the wide variety like Amazon does. They are very light with enough padding that isn't memory foam. They're easy to slip on and off and the little hole in the back is handy to grab as well. Actual size is to size, but too snug for me, especially if wearing socks, so I sent them back. I reordered them 1/2 a size larger and wide because my feet are sensitive to pressure and I prefer a loose shoe. They don't fall off. There is some arch, but not a lot. They have nice thick soles to help keep your feet dry if you step in a shallow puddle and will hopefully increase longevity. Only thing I didn't like was the dumb chain with the foam sample they attach to the back, understand it makes sense in a retail store, but seems excessive for packaging. Am considering buying another pair while I still can since the pricing here is good and the style isn't too fugly old man.
Tried these on a whim… will buy again!

I was looking for good walking shoes for Disney and a bunch of blogs kept coming back to this shoe as being on of the top rated for walking at Disney. I am a teacher and I wear Skechers all the time anyhow. I also wore them on our last Disney trip and was fine. I had never bought these before, but the reviews were great. They are a little more “boyish” but I am a girl with big feet who often has to buy men’s shoes. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So I decided to try them. Oh my goodness! They really are as awesome as everybody said! I brought these and my trusty lace up Skechers for my trip, and I found these to be way more comfortable for all of the walking in the Disney Parks. I wore these 5 out of 6 days! Now I am planning to pick up another pair before the school year starts.

Most comfortable walking shoes I've tried except for Allbirds brand which requires maintenance or replacement after a year or so, plus cost more. These feel may more sturdier, but socks are required. Comfortable in long burst. You won't get the immediate walking on air type feeling No strings to deal with just slip on-and-go. May need to adjust the heal a bit Style wise, personally i think it looks pretty plain. Has a minimalist design to it. Most likely not going to be commented on it by friends/family unless you wear it to a formal party/meeting or them mentioning that they notice you have new shoes. Branding is very subtle, most likely not going to notice it unless you're actively looking out for it Size. Fits well for normal fitting size; no need to go 1/2 size down or up. May be for those with narrower feet, heel can be a bit loose. Has a nice mesh design up top. Very breathable, just make sure you don't step into deep puddles of water or mud. Seeing that it's mostly mesh up top; it is collapsible with each other, so travel/packing friendly Love the dubbed "Goga Pillars" on bottom. Acts like shock absorbers for every step you take. Issue is if you walk on rocky tarrian or through nature/gravel small rocks can get lodged in the crevices. Not really ideal for competitive athletic sports or nature hikes, but good for when you're walking around a lot on flat surfaces like concrete or wood floors. Some examples: Escort gf, wife, sister etc around the mall Conventions Power walking/casual strolls Amusement parks Trick or Treating Touring a new country/on vacation At work, if you have to be on your feet all day Very situational pair of shoes, but very good at what it does.
Wish they copied Columbia.
