AmazonBasics Slim Case, iPhone 8/7 Navy

Great option for my new iPhone 7. My company provides the phone, but if anything happens to it, "on my watch", it's up to me to repair or replace it. I timed this case to arrive on the same day as my phone, and I am confident that, baring anything that doesn't typically happen, this case will be a perfect way to protect the phone, while looking good doing it.The case fits snug, and protects very well except for the bottom, speaker, end, where the phone is exposed. Besides that, as others have noted, the buttons are a bit stiff to the touch, but push it like you mean it, and it feels acceptably responsive.As a summary, this case does (very well) what I bought it for. I feel it will protect the phone well, and at the price Amazon charges, it does it for a great price. It looks good, faux-leather-ish, much like Apple's own cases. Time will tell how it holds up, but for now I feel it was money well spent - so much so that, when my wife receives her new iPhone in a matter of a week or so, we'll get one for her. And her phone is completely on us... we bought it, and need to take care of it - and that's where this case looks to accel. Protection. I was able to get this case as an add on item for only 95 cents. It truly fits and feels like a $20 to $50 case.It fits the phone perfectly and has an almost suede like texture on the inside. All buttons are covered but unlike cases that do this, the buttons are easy to use. My phone does not get hot in the case with use, even outside. I'm in the Phoenix region and we've already hit 110 and still no issue.The texture offers a light grip to your hand and surfaces. This means it will and does grab dust and dirt easily, but mild soap and water gets it clean.The case offers slight lift to keep the front off of flat surfaces and lips over the front of the phone.Ladies, your make up and guys that work outside will need to take the case off at least weekly to clean the material that becomes trapped between the case and phone.The case feels like it would protect your phone from falls but I can't say for sure. Some of y'all's "barely fell less than a foot!" Must be pretty turbulant and tornado filled with hammers.I don't use apple pay or any beaming services, can't say how well it will or won't work, but I can stream via wi fi to my Roku without issues.This item is a solid buy!

When it comes to these types of purchases, I try to strike a balance of quality and value. The look is very similar to Apple's silicone and leather cases. The fit with this case is very snug and provides medium level protection including a front bezel to protect the screen. The open bottom allows you to see some of the phone's aluminum coloring. The wake/sleep button and volume rockers are a little difficult to press when using this case, but I am hoping it becomes easier after some more use. For the price, this AmazonBasics case is a great buy. When you have this option, a $45 Apple case does seem unnecessary.

Absolutely the best case that I've ever had for the iPhone. Prior to this case, I used a matte-black hard case for the iPhone 5S. That was a very good case as well. This case looks superficially very similar to the official Apple-branded leather case for the iPhone 7, but without the embossed Apple logo, and without the fine detailing along the cutout for the camera (a plastic edging). The only flaw in this case is the lack of attention placed to the cutout for the camera. If the cutout had a bit more attention placed to it, this product would very well be worth at least $30. Others have noted that the volume buttons are hard to access, but I had no trouble with my case. Perhaps it takes a couple of months to "break in", or perhaps quality varies on a case-by-case basis. The case is not genuine leather (as you may have guessed), but it's still a very good quality synthetic leather. In fact, I think it's bonded synthetic leather (like the ones your terrible furniture salesman tries to sell to you, claiming that it's better than genuine leather, when you realize several months later that the "leather" portion begins to peel and make a mess) I have used the case for several months now, and see a bit of wear along the edges (the "leather" portion has worn off, exposing the white under-layer)

I bought this because it was cheap and I'd had great experience with AmazonBasics in the past. It's thick and protective, but the finish is smooth and too easy to drop. In addition, the case doesn't cover the bottom of the phone, it's difficult to reach the vibrate switch, and the volume and power buttons do not feel responsive with this case.Pros:- Case is thick and relatively sturdy- The finish is nice enough, a faux leatherCons:- Very slippery- Vibrate switch is too difficult to access- Volume and power buttons feel squishy and unresponsive- Case has an open bottom, so the bottom speaker area has no protection

This is a great case for my iPhone 6s. I figured since the 7 had the same dimensions as the 6 and 6s it would work and it does. I just could not bring myself to shell out $45 for the apple case, especially since I don't really care for having the apple logo on my devices. My case fits snugly so I don't know if people are receiving defective cases (that is those who complain about the fit). The only thing you would notice if you are using this for an iPhone 6s is that the camera cutout is a little bigger than necessary, cos the camera in the 7 is slightly larger. But that minor difference for a case that looks and feels like the original slim Apple case and for $10 is a no brainer.

Quality is lacking. I truly enjoy AmazonBasics products but this one needs some major improvement. The fit on the phone is perfect, but the quality of the construction and materials is just not the normal AmazonBasics standard. I have never dropped my phone and only from normal wear and tear (putting it in my jeans pockets) the edges on the bottom are already peeling after two months. Amazon customer service is awesome and gave me a full refund but would like this design improved for greater durability please.

Never have I purchased an AmazonBasics product, nor have I ever posted a product review - no matter how good or bad. But this certainly warrants it.I'll start off by providing one positive thing. The case fits well.However, I have no intention of using this phone case because of the terrible inconsistency in color. It is noticable in any light at any angle. It appears as though one of the sides of the case was oversprayed by paint or was not equally coated.In any case, I am incredibly dissatisfied and intend to purchase another case from a different distributor, whether or not it is out of stock. One-day Amazon-Prime shipping means nothing if the AmazonBasics product is significantly lacking. I'd rather wait a week for a quality case.

I just snapped this puppy on my brand spanking new iPhone 7 and I'm really liking the look and feel of the case. It's got that PU leather, softer feel and doesn't add a ton of bulk. When I lay my phone on its back, the camera is protected. When I lay it on its face, the screen has some breathing room from the surface. I also like that it has a soft liner on the inside of the case for the phone's back. I've had other cases that dust sneaks into and still somehow manages to scratch up the phone. I hope the softer rear interior helps resolve that issue. I don't so much have a problem with the difficulty of pressing the buttons as much as I do with switching the Ring/Silent switch from silent to ring. It seems the cutout is just a pinch off (see my uploaded image). I think I'll live though. Great case at a fine price. Thank you AmazonBasics for simplifying this product and pricing it right.Update 2/5/2018Ended up having to trash this thing several months ago. Material wore pretty quickly and the case didn't look fantastic. Wish I could find a slim case that can last longer than a year.

This case has a nice feel to it and it seems to be made very well. The texture is grippy enough not to let my iPhone fly out of my hand but not to grippy to slide in and out of my pocket all day. I feel confident that the case would protect my phone in the event of a corner strike fall. It feels just as snug on my iPhone as the Apple iPhone 7 Leather Case, but this case is less than a quarter of that price.I look for cases that do not add bulk to my phones and also keep the screen from touching the surface when I place them screen down. This case leaves plenty of room if you wanted to install a tempered glass screen protector as well.The Navy blue color is darker than probably is rendered on your screen, but I think that it a good thing.
