Works as advertised at an affordable price
By JMS_Indiana on Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2022
I purchased two sets of these for my wife and I to use our first time at the shooting range. I had previously used a borrowed set that cost much more than these and found these to be of comparable quality and functionality. My wife had never shot before and was pleasantly surprised that there was such a hearing protection device. They worked as advertised and overall we are thrilled with them. The only thing negative I can say about them is they started to hurt my wife's head/ears after a couple of hours. She only noticed this when she was wearing eye protection under the earphones. I see there are aftermarket gel pads that can be purchased and added to the earphones to reduce/eliminate this issue. Overall I highly recommend these headphones for any high noise environment. I am going to try mine at the next Late Model race that I attend. I plan on using the patch cord/input jack to connect to my race monitor radio so I can still hear the race officials while watching the action.

NOT noise Cancellation, just laggy Nominalizatio
By Christine B. Hajek on Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2020
"Noise Cancellation" is the recording of a sound, analyzing of that sound, and playback of a counter wave that interferes with the recorded sound. These headphones are NOT that. When not powered or off, these are simply low to mediocre quality Noise dampening muffs. When powered (and dialed to ON) These Muffs use only a Delayed (Laggy) "Noise Nominalization" which means -after- you hear a loud sound, the muffs dial-down the mic-boost they are using for vocal pickup. This means you hear the shot, AMPLIFIED, though due to the Pizo-Microphones they do lack pickup of very high and very low frequencies. So the shot sound is LOUDER, but perhaps less risky to hearing. Nominalization will then lower the volume of all further incoming sounds for a while till its quiet again. Nominalization IS NOT Cancellation. Cancellation is the good stuff. Nominalization is ineffectual. The speakers themselves in the muffs, for use with the mic boots or Aux in, lack treble and base, so they are awful for listening to mp3's or using other equipment. Conclusion: Do not buy. these miss the bar by a great deal, on multiple marks. Do Not Buy.
