Merrell Moab 2 Vent Women's Shoes (Open Box)

I really wanted these to work out. I had long heard that Merrell were favorites for their roomier toe box. I carefully read the reviews regarding size. I purchased 10.5 which is what I wear in nearly all shoes/boots. The fit was awkward. The toe box width offered a slight bit of welcomed wiggle room. However, the shoes were a short, with my big toe rubbing the underside of the section seam. This occurred when walking on flat service, and was intolerable when moving down a slight slope. The heel cup was loose and did not provide support no matter how tightly I laced the boots. Had I ordered a smaller size, the heel cup might have fit appropriately, although the shoe length would have certainly been too short. Sadly, I will be returning them.
