COLE & MASON Derwent Pepper Grinder

This is the best set of mills I've ever owned. I've had this set for five years, and they still function as well as the day I received them. The pepper mill has five settings, and the salt has three. I prefer the fine grind, but the ability to switch to coarser grounds if I'm seasoning a steak is quick. No twisting a little nut. The only issue I had was that the pepper mill would occasionally stop working. (Don't worry, keep reading.) The pepper mill would stop grinding, as if the unit were dirty. I'd empty the peppercorns, blow some air into the grinder area, and refill. It would work again for a while, then stop. What I wasn't realizing was that the cheap grocery store peppercorns I was buying weren't of uniform size, and the bigger ones would eventually make their way to the bottom and get stuck. Once I started buying a better brand, Sauers https://a.co/d/dwbcfMR, this problem went away as these peppercorns are slightly smaller and more uniform in size.
