Great Mac and light enough for travel

I bought this as a present for my girlfriend who wanted to start a travel blog. She's never used a Mac before, but she absolutely loves this computer. It is lightweight and easy to travel with. The step by step set up and tutorial on how to use the Mac were extremely helpful. She's been using this for about six months now, and she takes it everywhere with her. She hasn't had any problems with it and loves that the battery can literally go from flat to charged completely in 30 mins or less and lasts for a long time without having to recharge it. It's a great computer and we are both very happy with it.

I am very skeptical of this computer. Upon opening it, it froze right away and I had to shut it down. I have been using my old Macbook Air for the past 4 years, and I know that a new Macbook does not freeze. I'd question whether this product is new.
