Excellent quality frames and they look good too
By DJames808 on Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2017
Ive worn glasses since I was 13 and been using PCs since '83. When my cube buddy suggested I try an amber set of glasses (as I work in an office with office lighting) after wearing them for 10 mins they made me realise how much I had been straining to see my computer. I ordered these immediately. Excellent quality frames and they look good too. Will always use these in future. If you use a PC at work - invest in a pair of these.

they aren't perfect, but they're quite good.

Let me get the bad things out of the way first. There are two problems with every pair of Gunnars I've tried, and I've ordered and returned several styles trying to find one that suits me. First, the fit is weird. They are somehow both huge and tiny at the same time. They claim to be designed to be close to the eye to reduce fatigue from air drafts, which seems to be reaching at best, but they don't actually stay close to the eye. The Micron is the only style even close to that, and they still stand away from the face a bit more than I'm used to, while simultaneously gripping the sides of my head pretty hard. This leads to another related issue in that there's a lot of glare on the glasses, despite claiming to be anti-glare, coming from light reflected behind me that should be blocked by my head, but just isn't because the glasses are so big. On the site, most pairs are described as "Asian fit" or "Youth fit". That didn't seem to make much sense, but as I am neither of those maybe that's the problem. The second issue is that the lenses get dirty fast and are hard to get clean. And when they're dirty, they are not an improvement. They are very difficult to see through with even a little grime, everything gets hazy fast. I used some cleaner designed specifically for glasses and that finally helped, as I wasn't getting much improvement with the microfiber cloth I use with my sunglasses. EDIT: I have to lower another star because these things get amazingly dirty from nothing. I have never seen a pair of glasses before that get smudges without ever having been touched. And when they are smudged, they are super blurry. AND, Gunnar saw fit to put their logo etched into the top left glass, which is visible and looks blurry. HOWEVER, despite these problems, they still rate 4 stars and I am wearing them right now. I bought the Intercept direct from Gunnar, and these Microns from Amazon. They are basically the same except the Intercept is bigger, and I'm torn as to which one I like better even though the Intercepts are comically overlarge for my face. When clean, the lenses are great and greatly improve screen viewing, in my case both large desktop monitor and Android phone screen. In both cases I was using software to change the screen tint, but it's imperfect to say the least. Now that I have these I've disabled that software on both, and the glasses are better than the software was. Even at the same brightness, it doesn't physically hurt my eyes like it would without some sort of blue blocking. So they aren't perfect, but they're quite good.

These actually work!! I use them during work and they really help. I haven’t had headaches since I started using them and my eyes aren’t as tired at the end of the day
My hubby loved them that just ordered another pair for me

Did not get the color I ordered but does not matter because these glasses are life changing for my eyes. My hubby loved them that just ordered another pair for me. I work with multiple screens and after hours of numbers and calculations, my eyes get blurred out. I prefer not to enlarge the letters since it affects some programs and now with these glasses I am able to detail see all my numbers. No more tired eyes, no more blurred numbers. My husband says they are amazing for gaming focus. Great product.
The first pair were GREAT, this pair made my eyes ache

This is second pair of Gunnars. The first pair were GREAT, this pair made my eyes ache. They were a refurbished pair so my assumption is that the initial design was faulty.

These glasses are really dope. Used them to play the Witcher 3 and at work where I spend most of the day viewing a computer screen. I get compliments on the style of the glasses and sometimes I just wear them when I'm out and about. Maybe placebo but I do feel less eye strain and fatigue when I use them.
Amazing product w/ longevity (quality) issues

My son and husband both have Gunnar glasses and swear by them, so I opted to give them a try. I bought these in July of 2018 and have been very happy with them, up until now. They cut down on the fatigue that my eyes were experiencing from using screens for 10+ hours/day. They also helped with my dry eyes. However, I’m disappointed in the quality. I kept these at work 24/7 in a climate-controlled office environment (no “extreme” temp changes) and the longevity just wasn’t there...it is now May 2019, and they are broken, at only 10 months post-purchase. I literally went to remove them from my face and they broke at the point seen in the attached photo. With that being said, I have already purchased a new, similar pair to replace these directly from the Gunnar website. I’m hoping the next pair lasts longer!
Great quality just not for me

Nice well made computer glasses. I could see where these could help unfortunately for me it's a waste of money because there is not nearly enough magnification in these glasses so I cannot see good in these and they strain my eyes worse than without them since I use the computer for 12+ hours a day. I will need to keep using my Spektrum or Gamma Rays that have reader magnification in them. It appears these are not made with hardly any magnification unless you go to their website and spend hundreds to get them in prescription. Offer them with reader magnification and I am there otherwise useless to me at this point really.

What the makers didn't think about is that people wear Reading glasses and your glasses are not made according to size. You should really think about that and make them according to size. Right now I have to wear them on top of my Reading glasses. Crazy!!
