Perfect!

Fits the company motto exactly: fits space, fits budget also brownie points because I am a mildly small woman and was able to carry, maneuver and build this entire thing alone without TOO much trouble. Very lovely color and directions were about a 6/10 difficulty to understandš Overall good deal but be very gentle and have patience as it is also quite fragile

Super flimsy not worth your time or money
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2024
I've never written a review before, but I felt the need to for this. First, I was impressed. It was heavy, and the materials looked and felt sturdy. I started building it, and everything was fine. I had the frame built and went to put the back panel on. This is where everything started to go downhill. I don't know what the back panel is made of, but it is trash. It was folded to fit in the box, and as I started to unfold it, a third of the panel started to rip along the fold. At first, I thought a little rip was manageable. But no, it got worse. The rip extended all the way down. When I tried to get the other half on, it also started to rip along the folds. I gave up on the back panel, which was disappointing because I know they help stabilize the bookcase. However, to be honest, there was no way that paper-thin panel was going to stabilize anything. So, I flipped it on its side as instructed. Even then, I noticed the top half was already super flimsy. When I stood it up, the whole top half just tilted to the side. It is unusable. Thankfully, the bottom half was more stable, so I was able to salvage that part and get at least half of the bookcase I ordered. Iām not sure if I built it wrong or if I received defective pieces, but overall, it was a bad experience.

Love this shelf.

The shelves are adjustable so if you need them taller or shorter, you're able to situate them however you need. I would love to maybe buy a shelf or two more, since some of my books are smaller than others and I could fit a whole 'nother shelf on there. It's as sturdy as you can imagine for the price. As long as you don't have to move it around much you'll be fine. Mine seems a little off on one side so it wobbles, but I put a lil piece of cardboard under the leg so it helped. All in all, I got what I paid for and I love it.
Not upscale furniture

I knew going in that this was not going to be super solid furniture. I just wanted a couple of shelves that would not owe me anything when I get bored of them. The shelf is a lot more cheaply made than I thought it would be. I knew it would be particle board but the finish is almost like contact paper so don't try to scrub it clean. It is sturdy but not long life sturdy. It was pretty easy to assemble. Took about 20 minutes. All the parts were in the box and it was not damaged in shipping. If you are like me and like to change up your decor then it is a good value because I won't feel bad when I put it in the dumpster in a couple of years but you won't be saving it to become a family heirloom. I also am not sure I would load it down with books. I have knick knacks on mine mostly. It does come with a wall anchor which is nice if you have small kids. Overall I got what I paid for. It may not be the best purchase as far as permanence goes.
Buy something cheaper at Walmart for the price.

This was just an okay product. It's no nicer than the $35 ones you buy at Walmart. The backing was particularly cheap and flimsy. It had a couple of pieces that were scuffed up as well. Assembly was fine. It took me way longer than 30 minutes, but I do not build stuff often so that didn't surprise me. Also if you are wanting to store lots of books, this shelf doesn't maximize space. The shelves are way too large unless you need it for very tall books or just decorations.

Due to the price of these shelves I wasn't very optimistic, But compared to other smaller products but higher prices I wanted to take a chance- and I'm glad I did. I was pleasantly surprised after putting these things together- that being said if you have the patience to put these together correctly you'll also be pleasantly surprised. PATIENCE IS KEY. I remember noticing the measurements in the listing, and they seemed generous to my needs. Upon completion of assembly I noticed these were larger than I was hoping for. The instructions are informative enough and not very difficult to understand. Also note that these aren't the strongest, nor sturdiest shells in the business- But for their price tag It's a pretty good deal. One thing to remember when putting these together is DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN- this isn't real wood obviously, It's pressed wood material and it won't tolerate too much stress of over tightening. Take it easy putting these things together and both you and your wallet will be happy. Again I don't suggest these being used for very heavy items. I personally got them for my Funko Pop collection and I'm very pleased about the end result as shown in the photos I provided. The Funko Pop cases fit perfectly and it seems I have a lot more room now for additional Funko pops- that's a perk I'm very happy about lol. As shown I purchased three shelf units that fit perfectly into the space I intended. I'm addition I opted not to use the fake backboard, it would have made the case stronger but I just didn't care for it too much. Personally I think it cheapened the look. But that's just me. This is one of my many better buys. Thanks again Amazon. š
I ordered 2 boxes and both boxes' product arrived looking already used!

Well it is a bookshelf, but not a very good one! I ordered two shelves and was only able to put together one bookshelf because so many of the pieces of "wood" came with huge scratches or dents on them. There were even two pieces I just couldn't even use cause they were so damaged, so I mix and matched between the two boxes of product to create 1 'still not great' shelf. I was planning to return both of them, but I waited too long to put them together thinking it would be fine, and missed the Return by Date, so I decided to just make 1 shelf, and I have the broken/ crappy parts still sitting in the other box and I'll probs throw it out. Also the back board that you nail into the back of the shelf is soooooooo incredibly flimsy its RIDICULOUS!! The best way to describe it is super thin cardboard. But its so thin or such bad quality that even as I was unfolding the back part to lay down on the shelf to nail it in, the seems of the cardboard started to tare right down the seems! Because the back cardboard tared at the seems when I was putting together the (1st/only) shelf, and I was stealing parts from the second shelves box, I was extra careful when I was handling the cardboard from the second shelf and that one also still tared down the seems. Not to mention that that boxes' pieces were so bad and obviously used before, that those cardboard pieces looked extremely scratched up and worn, so I ended up just using the 1st boxes cardboard, and I ducted taped the seems just so I could build the 1 shelf. Do not recommend buying this brand again.
UPDATE: PIECE OF CRAP... DO NOT BUY FOR THIS PRICE... KEEP SEARCHING... LOW QUALITY

UPDATE: Had it for less than 2 months. Went to move it today, after having my books on it. Wanted to rearrange my space. It collapsed from the center. When I tried to put it back together, parts of the outer frame were leaning. Didn't overpack it with books AT ALL. I still have books that are in storage bins so it wasn't the books. This is a LOW QUALITY product especially for the PRICE. Literally a piece of crap. The material is CHEAP and for the price, you can go to T*arget or W*lmart and get this same shelf for the same quality for HALF THE PRICE. I thought I was going CHEAP buying this for $80+ but found the same cheap bookshelf in a a big-box store for HALF that. Don't waste your money. If you have a large collection of books, invest in a more quality bookshelf. I would NOT trust this in a kids room or a closet, no matter what the other reviews say. Going to the TRASH. Not safe. NOT STURDY no matter what people put in the review. THEY NEED TO IMPROVE THIS PRODUCT. Backboard is flimsy so the books will literally push it back and out, leaving a gap and making it look cheap. The board that hold the books collapse. It's not a sturdy product. =----------------------------------------------- For the price, I feel disappointed with the quality. It's lightweight but it's your typical somewhat flimsy book shelf, and it took me 2 hours to put together. The directions aren't as straight-forward as others have said and the pieces come with all this dust/styrofoam litter on them. The box was heavy only to find that when you put the whole shelve together it's flimsy and easily tips especially if you have carpet. I've seen lower-priced bookshelves like this as the usual big-box stores and was apprehensive about buying those, but now I'm regretting that I didn't. The back board was the most frustrating. A piece of it split and it was awkward to line up in order to tack it good enough so the back won't buckle if your books lean into it. Just a mess. I guess you get what you pay for. I was able to make it work, for now, as I have a lot of books and I was tired of them laying around my house or hiding away in a storage box, so it'll serve its purpose but now I'm back to the frustrating search to find an AFFORDABLE but sturdy shelf for the rest of my book and to replace this one. I'm just not satisfied. To each their own. I will continue my search.

I read tons of reviews before buying so I knew what I was getting myself into, but this shelf still had way better reviews than others that I had seen on amazon, so I risked it. As stated in other comments, all the tools come just thrown around in the box and fall out when you open it. I was missing 23 nails, which I definitely would have noticed if they had just scattered through the room lol. We had spare nails at home so it wasnāt too big of a deal, but the spare nails I used ended up splitting some of the wood cause they were too large, so it would have been nice to have just been sent the expected amount. Instructions were not as clear as they could have been but it doesnāt take a genius to figure out what goes where. The most shocking thing is that only one side of the box had foam protection, so the side of the shelf that was on the other side of the box with no protection had a huge chunk taken out of it when it got to me. Itās a really obvious huge gash in the wood. It had a couple other medium/small ones but those donāt bother me too much. I also think itās stupid how the top of the shelf isnāt painted like the rest. From our staircase we can clearly see the top of the shelf and it looks silly being a different color than the rest. Itās sturdy enough but I donāt 100% trust it. Also, the backing is stupid. You can still see the lines from where it was folded in the box and itās super flimsy. Again, after all the cons, it still had better reviews than most I have seen on amazon. Iām not sure if itāll last more than a few years, but fingers crossed.

This is a very nice bookcase, as assemble it at home bookcases go. The espresso color looks distinguished and the finished product is pretty sturdy. I started with two and liked them well enough that I got a third to stand beside them all in a row. There's just one issue: When you look at the picture and see the top with three shelves closer together and the bottom with two shelves further apart, you just don't appreciate how much wasted space there is for want of one more shelf. If you want to use this to display books, it's fine. But if you're actually trying to find a place to keep all your books besides boxes, that's another matter. So five stars if you're looking for an inexpensive display bookcase, I suppose. Four stars if you use bookcases primarily to store books. Someone asked if there are extra shelves available in the help section. If there were, I would have ordered them. Instead, I got a 1" x 8" by 10' board cut in three boards at the appropriate length (23.25) and covered them in wood grain contact paper to make three more shelves. If the manufacturer sees this, though, they should know there's a market for extra shelves.
