GAME 4310 LED Color Changing

Update August 2016: The light completely filled with green water and stopped working 6:23:2016 - Update only 2 days later. I went to check on the lights and one of them had a piece of plastic busted clogging the jet slightly. I put my finger in the hole and a cracked, white plastic circular ring shot out of the jet. I am downgrading this back to 1 star. This is item is faulty and should last longer than a few months, if even. 6:21:2016 - I am updating my review to 3 stars. The darn things are still going strong. I don't even turn them of anymore, because it is kind of a hassle to do so. If we are in the pool during the day, I'll turn them off etc. Read the rest of the review to see what I mean. So far so OK - is now updated to So far So good. Still hesitant, but waiting to see what happens. These other 'positive" reviews do not seem legit at all, you can always tell. Note though some of my review seems negative, the item is ideal in lieu of adding a real light to an existing pool. I purchased two of these. The in-ground pool I have (15' x 25') does not have any lighting and I have been looking at the other items similar to this on Amazon, but the reviews of those are horrible. I have a return jet on each long side of the pool. These seemed promising. The plastic feel is quite cheap, you know - that of cheap dollar-store toys, shiny and thin-looking. They fit into the return jets easily, however one already has water droplets on the inside of the plastic clear housing where the LEDs are so I don't see how long these will last. I DID NOT notice any reduced power from the jet after installation which is a good thing. However, the LED lights came on immediately when the filter went on. Why? What is the sense of having an ON / OFF switch? The item should be in an auto-off state until turned on. I will contact the vendor to see if this can be changed. Now during the day, someone needs to make sure they turn off each light in order to prolong the life of the LEDs. My filter runs 8 hours a day and is off at night. The idea is to use the filter at night to power the lights. At night it creates a dimly-lit glow that is better than nothing. They are not bright at all, but for a 15' x 30' pool it is OK. The other color functions are quite useless, as they are distracting and the slower setting when it cycles to orange / red - the pool is not lit at all. It is best just left on bright white. I will update this review with a pic tonight. I still have in my mind that I might return these as I am not confident they will last that long.
