Gooseneck Kettle with Thermometer, 34 oz

This was a great kettle, while it lasted. Solid construction, accurate thermometer, cool(-ish) to touch where they say. But, a couple weeks ago the handle started to wobble. I thought maybe it got too hot and the plastic was deforming so I kept using it. I tried several times to tighten the handle but nothing was working. Today I went to retrieve the kettle off the stove and the handle came right off. Luckily, that didn't happen after I lifted the kettle as I most likely would have been severely scalded. Examining the handle afterwards I found no deformation of the plastic but there are only two threads in the eye where the bolt screws in; not much leeway when it comes loose. Even then I could find no way to reattach the handle as the bolt is loose and slips back inside the hollow handle. The tightening spot at the bottom of the handle does not turn at all so it does not appear there is any way to repair it. Shame, I did like this kettle; although, with no whistle you really do have to keep an eye on the temp because it is very efficient in heating the water.
