Affordable protection for people on a budget.
By D. Beaucher on Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2017
Great chaps at great price. These chaps fit well, are easy to put on and take off, and feel like they will keep me safe. Some have posted that the buckles were on backwards, and now I understand what they were talking about. Yes, the adjustable buckle part was laced through the buckle so that the strap "pull on" portion would be underneath next to your leg instead of outside on top. This means that you could do one of two things. 1. Twist the buckle over like you would a seat belt in a car, or, take less then 3 minutes to re-thread the strap through the buckle the correct way. In other words, it's a non-issue. The second complaint that I read before buying these, is the main waist buckle comes loose. Well, it probably can, however, just out of precaution for this I simply adjusted it for my waist, and then took the left over strap and tied it in a knot which takes up the extra slack in the strap as well as holds it to the size I want. Bottom line is that these are great protection at an affordable price for those of us who can't afford to dish out the equivalent of 11 gallons of gas extra for a more expensive pair of chaps.

Ineffective Belt Around Waist! ....FAIL!!!
By Trevoc on Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2017
Just got these chaps today, and although I have not used it, I do have confidence that its something that will protect me since its made of Kevlar material and covers my lower part of my body. However, after trying it on, I found the pants will not stay on well even with a wide belt and wide buckle in the back, the belt slides out of the buckle while you are wearing it. I tried a personal belt that I have and can use it over the pants and it will work, but the sad part is that I should not have to improvise to get this to work. If you make a product, make it so it works properly. You can't have such an important body protection while using a chainsaw and have it fall from your hips while you are sawing, surely an accident waiting to happen. I can't give this product 5 stars because of the poor way they designed the belt that holds this heavy Kevlar chaps. If you get this product, be ready to use your own personal belt over the chaps, it will certainly help keep the chaps from falling! UPDATE Aug.11, 2017 I found a large tool belt in my closet, very similar to the one that is fixed to the chaps, and it had a ring on the belt (see attached photo) to keep it from backing up while you are wearing it. Tried it out, and the belt doesn't loosen when I bend. The part, which I don't know what its called, probably costs 5 cents and if they add this to the chaps belt, the belt would be fall proof. The pictures shown in the ad all show these chaps covering the crotch, but when you get the chaps, they are nothing at all like the picture.
