Furry Fido Black Classic Pet Sling

I did a lot of research when selecting a pet carrier, because there are just so many, and I was skeptical about this one because the reviews are overwhelmingly positive... but it turns out they're true! I am so impressed by the quality of this product. It's really well made. My terrier mix even slightly exceeds the weight they suggest (she weighs 15 lbs, though the listing says "up to 12") - but because she is still small and lean, she fits easily in the sling, and it doesn't feel like the strap is straining at all. The broad shape is really comfortable for me as well, evenly distributing the weight without digging in. I feel like I could carry her all day! I do wish the strap was adjustable, but it's not a massive problem, because the bag falls at a decent place (similar to the photo for me, at 5'8" tall - just a little past my hip.) Shorter people may have more trouble, though. The fabric of the sling is super soft, both inside and out. There is no formal "bottom" to this (as in, no solid inserts or anything) but I think that's better, because it still feels sturdy enough to support your pet, while also allowing the flexibility for them to get into a comfortable position. I went with the grey because my dog sheds little white hairs like crazy, and I knew the black would look horrible really quickly - the heather grey hides that perfectly. :) The inside (brown with peachy polka dots) is still likely to collect some fur, but so far, it's not as bad as I feared. I'm honestly amazed at how calm my pup is when riding in the bag! She was a little confused at first (having never been in any kind of carrier before, beyond a spacious crate) but as soon as she got inside, she settled right down. Normally she's a bit squirmy and likes to explore, but once in the bag, she stayed completely still, lying there comfortably, just looking around at everything. This will be perfect for when I need to take her on the train or other places too busy for her to walk on a leash. All in all, I'm definitely satisfied, and recommend this pet carrier to anyone with a small dog or cat! I paid full price for this item, but wish I knew where they found a discount code ;)
