Excellent Stand - Do not Buy the Cheap Keyboard Stands!

I’m a professional pianist, so I needed a stand for a new practice instrument (I live and work in crowded situations, so sometimes a Yamaha keyboard is useful, where I can wear earphones when I practice); this stand is far superior than the cheap brands for sale; it is strong and does not move while you are playing advanced works, and it has many levels of adjustment, not found on the cheaper products. If you are buying this for a student, go ahead and purchase a high quality stand such as this which will last for years rather than a cheaper model that will be of limited use.

Not flush against wall

Bought this for my kid and his budding interest in music. We have it on one of the lower settings, which is probably why we have a problem...but the top (where the keyboard rests) ends up NOT being flush with the wall we have it up against. Not a huge deal, other than it results in a keyboard sticking further out into the room than necessary. If I raise it up to adult playing height, it snugs up much closer to the wall. But the height adjustment process is really slow and tedious... you can't just loosen it and raise it, you've gotta chunk your way through every little notch, one by one, on both sides of the stand. Keeps it secure, I'm sure, but certainly not convenient. It's very sturdy. No complaints there. It'll hold whatever you wanna jam on.
