Best thermostat

Can’t go wrong with this thermostat. The only model we like to use. I am sure the newest is good as well, but at a much higher cost. This works very well, I can connect to it from my phone and change on the fly, and we have enjoyed them in multiple homes for a decent price.

Warning: Worst Thermostat EVER

Do NOT purchase this! I got one in June of 2024. It has already stopped working. My HVAC tech noted complete baseplate failure. It lasted just over one year. He swapped it out with the cheapest model he could find. All’s well now. Additionally - while it actually worked - I was prompted roughly once a month to enroll into a program which would allow my power company to control my temperatures. No thank you! I should only have needed to select that one once. Further, it initially kept reverting to “Eco” mode whenever I set my alarm to “Away.” The default settings were a complication, an irritation, an unintuitive nightmare.
