Standard fit, nice and sturdy. If you're between sizes, go for the smaller one.

Sandals fit well - as-expected based on size. If you're a half-size, I'd err on the closest size down (I'm a 10.5, went with 10s and this fit great). But what I'd really recommend is buying both sizes through Amazon's try-before-you-buy program. Super easy to try both and send one pair back. Support is nice - more than you'd expect from a sandal. I've had these for a whole summer season and been on multiple beach trips in and out of the water, and they still look brand new (though I am making sure to rinse them in fresh water after being in the salt). I'd feel confident & comfortable wearing these all day in most (open-toe-safe!) scenarios. Only gripe is that the straps you pull on to secure the sandals are ~2" too long, the way they fit my feet anyway. I feel like that's not a real criticism though, it'd take like 20 minutes to shorten them myself.

I purchased these sandals because of their reputation for durability. I walk several miles a year in Florida and wear out sandal regularly. These are supposed to hold up. We'll see. For now, I have no complaints. I ordered my normal size (9) and the sandals fit fine. The straps were easy to adjust (go to their website to see how) and they fit comfortably. The sandals have an arch support which is good for me. Folks who don't like arches in their shoes probably will not like these sandals. The sandal is somewhat thicker than other sandals I've purchased and they are "heavy" - I use quotes here because some online reviewers complained about that but I didn't find it an issue. The sole appears to be made of a different material than other sandals I've owned and I'm hopeful that will allow them to live up to their durability hype. I'm still getting my feet used to them. I've taken short walks rather than the normal 4.5+ miles I normally take and that was a good idea. I have a few blisters as a result. They aren't too bad and I expect will callus over in time. I wear the sandals on and off during the day and expect to make them my primary sandals fairly soon. --------- EDIT ----------- I've had them for two months now and I'm marking them down to 3 stars instead of 5. I have to question their reputation for durability. I find the wear rate on the soles of the sandals to be no better than any other sandals I've purchased for considerably less. As I stated above, I walk several miles about 4 days a week over sidewalks. I checked the wear on the soles after a couple of months of use and sure enough, the same wear pattern is showing up. I figure I'll get about 4 ~ 5 months use out of them tops (if I'm lucky) before they're worn down. At that point, I'll start digging into the softer material the sole is attached to. I should note that for various reasons I haven't walked as frequently as usual and yet the soles still are wearing thin already. Very disappointing for that price. I'm just going to go back to buying cheap sandals at wally world and attaching heel guards to them. Much cheaper. I'm not going to pay $70+ for sandals that don't stand up to wear any better than the $15 pairs.
