Disney Descendents Genie Chic Jordan

Very cute doll. I'm not a huge fan of the Descendants movie or shorts, but my sister loves dolls, and Disney's Genie is usually on my radar, so the whole daughter of Genie gig reeled me in. I was a little surprised to discover that Hasbro makes these instead of Mattel, but they did a really nice job. Her expression is adorable (looks exactly like the one pictured) and the body of the doll is a softer plastic than Mattel uses, much like the dolls from the Disney Store. The hands seem to be unique to the Descendants line, and work very well with this doll in particular. The doll is articulated at the wrists, elbows, shoulders, hips, and knees, so there's a good range of motion. It's also shorter than Disney/Mattel dolls, about Skipper height, so she works really well with them.The coloring in the hair seems to vary from doll to doll. The first one I got had way to much pink in my opinion, but Amazon was super great about the return, and shipped out another one the next day. It would be difficult to remove the clothes because of her bracelets, and her feet aren't likely to fit into any Barbie doll shoes, so I thought I'd mention that, just in case. They did a great job on the costume design, from her jewelry, to her peep-toe boots, so I can't imagine this being much of a problem for us. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase, and my sister is delighted to have a new doll to add to our Disney collection.

We have several of these dolls made by Hasbro. This is the 2nd one that has broken. I cannot return it because the 30-day return window has passed. I will take it up with Hasbro.

My granddaughter was thrilled when she opened the box and discovered her Jordan doll. She is enthralled with the Descendents characters and spends hours creating her own stories with her dolls.

The doll was missing the jewel in her headpiece. My daughter was disappointed.
