Great for Hockey Skate and Gloves
By Gyrating Panda on Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2024
Use this to dry my kids hockey skates and gloves after practice and games. Works well and helps reduce the smell from extended wet gear. Easy to use and set the time. Just a low hum while running. Can set it with heat or just air circulation.

Works but feels flimsy
By Zero Signal on Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2024
I usually put some miles on a product before I write a review, but my initial impression with this boot dryer is such that I wanted to get some information out there about it. I've wanted a boot dryer for a while now. I wear boots every day and I'm prone to athlete's foot so a dry pair of boots is necessary for me. I looked around for a while and compared several products before ordering this one. I based my selection mostly on customer reviews. This dryer costs $80, which isn't a TON of money but is more than an impulse buy for me and also more than I'm willing to gamble without some information. As soon as I received it, I was unimpressed with how flimsy it felt. My work boots are relatively heavy and I'm skeptical that this thing will support their weight without eventually cracking. Turning the timer knob (which is fairly difficult to turn, even for a gorilla like me with big paws) causes the entire center portion to rock over to the side, so much so that I turn the knob with one hand and support the center with the other because I fear it will come apart. I can't tell if it's the plastic flexing or if the center housing is just loose, but the whole thing feels like a plastic kids toy. It should say Fisher Price on it or something... I tried this on my work boots to see if, despite the flimsiness, it would work. All that I can say is that it blows air and is relatively quiet. There isn't much air, and if you only have 1 pair of boots on it, some of it will escape through the unused vents. When using the heater, it takes a while to come up to temperature, and the air never gets very hot. The best you can hope for is lukewarm air. I may have to use it a couple more times before I decide, but right now I think this thing is going back. I hate doing that, especially after taking it out of the packaging, but it falls far short of my expectations. Based on the current performance, I am doubtful that this will do very much to dry out my boots. Perhaps I'll put a thermocouple inside one of my boots and run it for a while to get some numbers. If I do, I'll post back.
