User friendly and afforadable entry level sports camera!
By Rccolaman on Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2016
I picked this up so that I could film my lifts for critiquing form and couldn't be happier. I use the hatch with the entire back exposed to get better audio. Audio is sufficient for what I am using the camera for. One thing I really like is all the accessories available for this which makes filming very easy. I grabbed one of the flexible tripods and it is very sturdy. I don't really care that the camera is fixed to the housing because I take care of my electronics very well and wont be using this for anything that could damage it. Potential buyers should think hard about upgrading to one of the models that has changeable housing if you think yours will be damaged. I also really enjoyed the editing software because its very user friendly and I have no experience editing. And finally the price was a great deal at only $179 I couldn't pass it up. Overall I am very pleased with its performance and would recommend their products to other people as well.

DO NOT BUY!

I could not be more disappointed in this product. It completely failed on my first attempt to use it. I had purchased it ahead of my scheduled overseas travel and had hoped to film it during my first times scuba diving. I double-checked the specs; It's supposed to withstand a depth of 40m, much less than what I was planning to dive to. So, after inspecting that all the seals were clean and properly in place I was confident we were good to go. I dive in and begin taking some awesome footage, and I can see it coming up on the LCD screen. However, 15 min into the dive I can no longer press the record button, whenever I push down on the button it doesn't register. As it turns out, that's kind of a hindrance to RECORDING. The other two buttons work fine, LCD still works. I can turn on wifi and cycle through the menu options. Ok, so I get back on dry land after missing some great footage, and troubleshoot: There's no visible water anywhere inside of the housing, and everything still works except for the record button. I'm able to link to the camera with my phone and begin recording through remotely controlling the gopro. So mechanical issue, plain and simple. My plan was to just hit record before my next dive and just film everything, edit it later. Sounded great until later that night none of the buttons would work. Now I'm stumped. All I know is that I'm beyond disappointed. I paid $300 dollars to capture this amazing experience that I hoped to go back and see for the rest of my life and all I have is the first 15 minutes of our descent of the first dive. DO NOT BUY
