Expensive & Gone in a Flash, But Dogs Love 'Em
By TwoHooligans on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2014
Well, it's tough to rate these. I bought them because I wanted a safe chew bone that was not made in China and that did not contain propylene glycol, which is sometimes used in dog products and caused crystals in my dog's urine. And we use the Rachel Ray Zero Grain dog food, which I know is good stuff. On the flavor scale, they would get 5 stars because both of my dogs absolutely loved them! But, on the truth in packaging scale, they get 1 star. As other reviewers noted, they are not at all long-lasting. My 23-lb and 35-lb dogs devoured them in several minutes. So I think the package is very misleading when it claims that they are long-lasting. And they were expensive for a treat that only lasts a few minutes. I would never pay the 6.99 Amazon price and pay shipping on top of that. I paid $3.49 at our local Gordman's store. And, even at $3.49, that's over a buck for a really good dog treat. So we'll buy them on occasion for special treats for my two hooligans.
