Dyson Ball Compact Multifloor Vacuum

This is a great little vacuum. It is light and maneuverable and has incredible suction. It does a good job on both carpet and bare floors. It handles cat hair like a champ and manages to pull extremely fine dust out of my brand new area rugs. I'm an allergy sufferer and running this vacuum a few times a week seems to help more than other vacuums I've I had. I like that the filters are washable. All of the different attachments fit right on the vacuum and fit snugly so that they don't fall off. It is by far the most well-designed vacuum I've ever had, which I appreciate literally every time I use it. The only gripe I have is that the dust canister is rather small. I vacuum frequently, so my home is not especially dirty, and I find that I have to empty the canister after vacuuming only two rooms. When I vacuum the whole house, I have to empty it about three times, which is an inconvenience. I recognize that a light, agile vacuum must also have some size limitations, though. I would prefer to empty a small canister more frequently than tow a larger vacuum around. My previous vacuum was only slightly less expensive, only did a mediocre job, and died after just a few years. I'm really happy with my Dyson purchase and, based on the build quality, expect that it will last a long time. In my experience, I would especially recommend the Dyson certified refurbished products for their excellent value. My refurbished Dyson was indistinguishable from a new product both in appearance and function, but at a fraction of the price of new. *****Edited 8/2018 to say that my Dyson DC50 is still kicking. I have had zero problems with it. I vacuum once or twice a week and wash the filters every few months. That's it. It does its job with minimal maintenance and zero fuss. What a great buy.
