I love these (Chunky Peanut Butter)
By tktwo1 on Reviewed in the United States on August 28, 2019
(Chunky Peanut Butter)I've loved these things for a long time, at times too much. I think these are the best tasting protein bars on the market, better than the old quest bars. The ''chunky'' peanut butter is the best, the ''creamy'' peanut butter is also good and better than your average protein bar. The ''creamy'' peanut butter bar can more accurately be described as ''chewy,'' and I don't mean that in a bad way, in the way that most (peanut butter) protein bars may be ''chewy'' which ends up being ''tough'' and ''dry'' - the think! creamy peanut butter ends up being a very pleasant nice and soft taste and texture, very much what a ''creamy'' or ''chewy'' peanut butter protein bar SHOULD taste like. The ''chunky'' peanut butter bar, by far my all time favorite protein bar, could more accurately be described as something like ''soft'' - maybe texture-wise something slightly comparable to a brownie or a bar or something? There's a perfect texture and softness that I absolutely love. Which brings me to the taste, in my opinion they taste very good, for a protein bar, and that's an important caveat. They're not going to taste like a dessert. The sugar alcohol is going to be dependent upon the person tasting them. I can sort of taste an alcohol like ''coolness'' aftertaste that I suspect many will not like, but in my opinion it works and is just sweet enough. The taste compliments the texture well. It's hard to describe but I love it. I know some people are sensitive to sugar alcohols, while others find them quite tolerable in terms of digestion, my own experience with most things, and most protein supplements is that as long as I don't have many times more than the 1 serving of any one item that they're usually very tolerable, and the same applies to these protein bars. But people should understand that some people aren't going to tolerate them perfectly. These will fulfill a role as a snack during times of dieting where some kind of chocolate is being craved and allow me to reasonably flex them into my diet without throwing macros completely off track, like adding a bunch of saturated fats or taking out ~20g of protein to fit in something chocolately that may be super high calories, high sat. fat and low in protein. That being said, it's not like this is a unicorn of a health food, and so within the context of a diet becomes a valuable tool in the tool box addressing issues like satiety and hunger etc. Once again though, some people will find the sugar alcohol's actually act like sugar and may spike hunger. A few years ago when I purchased these they always made it to my door in perfect condition. There were some reviews of people getting old bars or melting bars or damaged bars, however my shipment came with a styrofoam cooler/insulator thing with what looked like a bag of ice. The bag of ice was melted and I sort of wonder how much it actually helped as it took a couple days, and I imagine something like dry ice would be better probably? It would last longer and I assume less possibility for moisture? I don't really know, but I thought it was a very nice and thoughtful touch that they are going to that extent to ensure their product arrives in good shape.

Peanut Butter? Not on This Planet
By Cody Montana on Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2025
While I have at least enjoyed the way Think chocolate mint bars have tasted, these Think "Peanut Butter" bars taste terrible, have an unpleasant texture, and have few redeeming nutritional qualities that might make them worth choking down. Taste: if you were given these bars in a blindfolded taste test you would never guess that they are supposed to be flavored like peanut butter, which in the absence of some noticeable chocolate or fruit flavoring is not all that desirable on its own in a protein bar. In fact, the only real similarity is the texture, which for a bar comes pretty close to that of peanut butter and not at all what you would want in a protein "bar"; it's more like the sludge at the bottom of a jar of natural peanut butter in which the peanut oil has separated and risen to the top. Nutrition: these bars are pretty meh. 20 grams of protein is nice but plenty of other far tastier protein bars offer that. 11 grams of sugar alcohol is on the high side and a recipe for gastrointestinal discomfort, and despite zero sugar they are on the high side calorie-wise; less sugar alcohol and a few grams of sugar would provide a much better trade-off. And while I am not a fan of high fiber bars, a modest amount (say 2 or 3 grams) would be nice and might improve their rather off-putting texture. Don't waste your money on these protein bars. There are plenty of other alternatives out there that taste much better and have superior nutritional qualities.

My Morning Kickstart That Doesn’t Taste Like Cardboard or a Candy Bar!

These bars are officially part of my daily work-from-home survival kit. I grab one with my water, fire up the laptop, and boom—instant “I’ve got my life together” energy. The peanut butter is delicious, the texture is actually enjoyable (no weird chewiness or chalk dust vibes), and the best part? Low sugar! So I don’t crash mid-Teams meeting. If you're looking for a protein boost that doesn’t taste like punishment, these are it. 10/10 would snack again.
Great protein bars, but read the ingredients.

First off, I would like to say these are some of the best protein bars I have tasted. However, I cannot eat them and I feel the advertising is misleading. I have been on an EXTREMELY restrictive diet since August of last year, struggling with GI issues that have plagues me for years, but I finally got the upper hand on it when I stopped consuming anything other than Huel for months. I was doing so much better, but had been unable to identify the root cause of the issues, so all I knew for sure is I have been thriving on Huel. After deciding to try adding in some other foods, I had mixed results, but have slowly settled on a few other things I have been able to prove out as safe for me to eat. What I did not have was a portable food, and I am really ready to do some hiking. After considering some options, I tried the Lemon Delight. It was so good and seemed OK at first, so I ordered a bunch of flavors after seeing this is considered a vegan option. In my stupidity, I did not read the ingredients, and one of the things I have suspected could be a cause of my problems has been dairy. After eating one or two of these per day for less than a week, I had my first massive flareup for many months. It was my own stupidity for not reading the ingredients and succumbing to marketing, but these have whey protein and milk fat. Although it could be something else in the bars that set off my problems, it is almost certainly some ingredient, and I do suspect a possible issue with milk protein. It could be lactose too, but I would have to be incredibly sensitive to lactose, and never identified a correlation to high lactose foods and my problems, but I did identify a possible link between something in milk and my issues. I stopped the protein bars and went back to only Huel, and after about two or three days, I am now back to normal. Although inconclusive at this point, I was not happy to realize something can be advertised as a vegan option, and not be vegan by any standards I know of. I am not vegan because of moral standards, although I have an appreciation for those aspects of veganism. I am vegan because of serious health concerns making food choices extremely challenging for me. I have learned my lesson and will be reading every ingredient as I continue to sort this out, but I do not appreciate something being listed as a vegan option that contains dairy, as they should not go together. In any case, that was my rant for the problems these caused me, but.......they are REALLY good. For someone who has no issues with the ingredients, these are absolutely amazing as protein bars. I may try their bars that are plant protein based, but I will be reading every ingredient carefully, and it may be a while before I am willing to take the chance on them again. I would have easily given them five stars or more, if they were not to blame for my severe GI distress for the past several days. They are really great tasting protein bars, if whey protein is OK for you. I took one star off because I think it is wrong to advertise these as a vegan option.

I must be missing something...

I wanted to try some new protein bars, and since these are fairly highly rated, vegetarian and low in sugar, I decided to try them. And I really feel like I must be missing something... First, the positives. These bars are reasonably priced, and each bar has 20 grams of protein. The boxes are strong, so they arrived in good condition. And they're available in a variety of flavors. I love chocolate, so I tried a couple of the chocolate flavors. First, I tried the white chocolate bars. The icing is delish, but the bar itself is rather tasteless and not very chocolatey. Then I tried the chocolate fudge bars. The icing isn't as sweet, I didn't find it chocolatey, and while the bar itself has a little more chocolatey flavor than the white chocolate bars, it's not sweet and it's only a little chocolate tasting. The main part of both bars was soft and sort of dry. Honestly I am disappointed and also surprised. For my personal preferences, Quest bars (especially the Double Chocolate Chunk flavor) and ONE bars both taste better with a better texture. I don't think I'll be trying these again. But your mileage may vary.

It finally exists! A protein bar that actually tastes good! I think I've tried nearly every flavor of every brand before stumbling upon these delectable delights. The flavor? The protein content? This is a win! So glad this exists! It's a bit pricy, so I can't afford to eat them daily, but man are they ever good. I needed these in my life. Thank you Think!
