Big But Works Well
By Curly Susan on Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2025
I have long curly hair and I really like the way this diffuser makes my curls look. It can hold a lot of hair. It is big but works well. I had trouble finding a hair dryer for it work on but I bought the snozzle pro and that works. I also tried it on a Shark Flexstyle wand and it fits perfectly without the snozzle pro.

Pretty Good Diffuser
By lonelywaltz on Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2019
I can't say if this is a better diffuser than any other I've owned but it does get the job done and that is what really matters. This thing is HUGE--it is about the size of my head, and I have a small head. I find it a bit too big as I do have shorter hair (chin length curly, about shoulder length straight). I'm sure if you have longer hair it would be really nice and speed up drying time. But for me, since I have low porosity/fine/thin hair that takes forever to dry and is short, I have it pretty close to my head so I don't really see any real benefit over any other diffuser. It seems clunky to use for short hair--I feel like a lot of the heat escapes since there is little hair to trap it. Maybe a smaller one would feel better--this diffuser covers a lot of area that is for sure! Also, since it is so large I don't think this would be best for travelling. Maybe if you had a smaller hairdryer or didn't pack a lot of stuff/had a larger suitcase or just didn't care it could probably work to take it with you. I know I would since I don't like collapsible ones and hotels never have diffusers available. I'd make it fit just to make sure I had a trustworthy diffuser with me!It adds quite a bit of weight to my hairdryer. I got the Trezoro model 9300, 2200 watt hairdryer. It is a light hairdryer but adding this diffuser makes it heavy to hold. If I'm not careful and constantly change between hands I get hand, wrist, and arm cramps. They go away pretty quickly after I'm drying diffusing my hair though.I have used it a few times and am indifferent towards it (I try to air-dry as much as possible, and use this for drying my roots mostly). The first time I had a lot of flakes--not sure if that was dandruff or product or dust. It hurt my head as the ends are a bit rough even though they are smoothed down. The other times I've used it I have kept it away from my scalp but close enough to dry the roots with minimal to no flaking.I use my hairdryer on low speed and warm heat, which causes the diffuser to heat up. I suggest using the cool shot on a cool heat setting before trying to remove the diffuser. If not, it is pretty warm, not hot but slightly uncomfortable. I don't think it would cause a fire, but I put it back in its box so I feel better if it's cool before I do so.Bottom line: If you have shorter hair and a smaller head, this might seem a bit daunting to use. I think it does dry your hair well enough, but it's no better than what I've used before. I wish there was a slightly smaller and lighter version that wouldn't make my hairdryer so heavy. I would probably get this again as it seems to be the only option available that isn't collapsible and from a reputable company, although a bit overpriced.
