Vizio XRT122 TV Remote for E Series Models

I bought this to replace the basic remote for our Vizio E55-D0 Smart TV because I didn't want to rely on the Vizio app to control the TV. This remote isn't much different than the one that came with the TV, so I'm returning it. But not at the fault of the remote, more at the fault of the new Vizio smart TV's. If you've bought one of the new Vizio "Smart TV's" like I have, you'll find out that the TV itself does noy come with installed app's - which it should. You access the app's (Netflix, etc) *from* your phone/tablet. I already have the Amazon Firebox (with KODI), so I have no need to download anything else. Just wanted to let ppl know about that. It's not a big deal to me, just have no need for this remote...which works for for basic TV use or if your TV has the app's downloaded on it. If you don't have a smart phone or way to download or get the app's on the TV that you want, this will be an issue for you...as your TV will not be "smart". Not everyone has a smartphone, not everyone has the most up to date smart phone, not everyone wants to use their phone as a remote. It should not be a requirement!
