Worth the money for the tandem stroller
By Spring Dunavant on Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2016
We bought this tandem stroller in February to use with our 2.5 year old and newborn for short walks and zoo/museum trips, and we originally had purchased a car seat adapter that was referenced on the baby jogger website to fit this tandem. However, we soon discovered the actual adapter we needed for this tandem stroller was not being sold again until May...it was pretty frustrating and confusing on their website to have been misguided, but we were able to easily return the adapter. I decided to keep the tandem stroller and placed my newborn (around 3 weeks at the time of first use) in the top seat reclined all the way back and with rolled up blankets to further support him. He rode comfortably enough so we made do without having to wait for an adapter. Note: I was and am not jogging but only taking him on short walks on smooth, paved roads. Overall I really love this tandem stroller and am impressed at its ease of use. I also have a Bob Duallie that I plan to use as soon as I begin jogging with both kids, but for walking so far this tandem has been perfect. My 2.5 yr old is in the 90th percentile and fits pretty well in the first seat. Her legs do seem a bit long, but she just bends them naturally in the seated position without them hanging off. She has no problem with her height fitting under the visor, and in fact I love how much coverage both visors offer (plus the fact that each seat has its own separate visor is awesome.) I can foresee us using this tandem for a while for zoo and museum trips. The stroller seems easy to turn and not too heavy for a double. I plan to use this stroller until one or both of my children outgrow their seats. (Only an infant or small toddler will fit in the back seat but this is no problem for us.) I wouldn't recommend using this for anything other than paved or smooth areas (Our driveway is a long and gravel. The stroller pushes easily on this surface but isn't the smoothest ride.) The only add on I purchased was a snack tray for the front seat and am very happy with this tandem stroller. It's serving its purpose well and I have had no issues using it thus far. It was hard to find a nice tandem stroller, but after reading tons of reviews I'm happy I purchased this one. It's perfect if you have twins (my sister uses this stroller with her Mth twins and loves it) or if you have a young toddler and infant.

It's an okay stroller but not worth the money... It's heavy, it's hard to put together, it's HARD to fold. The pieces you pull to fold it always get stuck on mine. The accessories are really expensive... Save your money and buy something else!

So Good I want to Ride in it!

We moved from a sit n stand to the City Select after seeing it at Target. If I were to compare the two it would be like moving from a late 90s Ford truck to a New Chevy Silverado. This things looks amazing, rides incredibly smooth and to top it off it handles like a dream. I have two boys 2yrs and 7mo. With the freedom to play with the seats depending on their moods makes going anywhere in public much more enjoyable for myself and my wife. We also went all out and got the lap trays with cup holders and the city select parent compartment for the handlebar. This puppy looks so nice and comfortable my wife and I wish we could fit in it. Beyond that the strollers folds up very quickly. My wife did say it's a tad heavy when she lifts it but she has no problem folding and putting it in the back of our car, personally the weight isn't a problem for me. I love the quick easy to use locking clasp as well as the location and functionality of the break. Overall my wife and I love this stroller. I will admit the price point made us think long and hard about getting it but when considering the multiple seating options with the functionality for it to be used as a jogger but yet a everyday stroller made the product worthwile.

If you're somewhat active, buy the Bob duallie instead

I have kids that are almost 17m apart. I needed something that was easy to push and get in and out of our minivan. I wanted the kids to be comfortable with the option to recline. I was trying to decide between this and the Bob duallie. I'm a huge fan of the Bob strollers and have the single revolution and also the motion every day stroller. When number 2 arrived, I chose the city select because of the different seat combos, and the removable seats which make it easy to fit in the car. I also thought it would be better for air travel as I can't imagine bringing the duallie to the airport. However, I wish I'd just purchased the Bob duallie instead of the city select. Rather than tell you all the awesome things about the Bob duallie (and it's one drawback being its size), I'll review the city select. Pros: For daily errands, or going to the dr office or mall, this stroller is okay but very heavy. It has a large basket and my older son can sit up-right in the front seat which he likes. The sun canpy is also great. Overall, it's sturdy and well constructed. However, there are many reasons I don't like this stroller. For example, on walks even on the sidewalk in our neighborhood, my infant (who is strapped into his chicco car seat using the infant adapter) seems to feel every single sidewalk crack. It's nearly impossible for him to sleep. The adapter also seems to put the car seat at an angle which is slightly more upright than other stroller adapters ive used, this makes me a little uneasy. It's also verry difficult to turn this stroller. When folding the stroller up, it's annoying to have to remove the adapter and the second seat. I'm probably also supposed to remove the two pieces to connect the second seat, but I don't. The seats seem so small. My 18m old is small for his age and I don't see how he'll fit in this beyond age 2. I am now stuck with this stroller and just keep it in the car. That way I can use it if I just have one kid with me or if I have both. It's probably easier than the Bob for things like going to the dr office or the mall.

like the fact you can set this up as a single stroller when your other child is grown up. very easy to maneuver. Also, very nice compartments and angle adjustment features when your child wants to sleep. (they can lay flat like a bed or at an angle.) cons: you have to buy separate parts for infant car seat adapters, mug holder tray holder, etc. which can get very expensive. Also it takes up big space on the trunk and can be tricky and heavy every time you need to store it.

Oh, how I wish I would have had this stroller when my second child was born and her sister was only 15 months old... But, alas, I cannot linger on the past. With four kids, all under the age of six, this stroller is a life-saver for me. Simple trips to the library require coordination and effort just making sure we make it through the parking lot together and a double stroller is an absolute necessity for me. Not only is this stroller ridiculously adaptable (single stroller, add a seat, change the directions of the seats), but of the double strollers I have owned - and I have owned several - this one takes up the least amount of room while still be maneuverable. I love that I can have the baby up high, near and facing me, both with a car seat and eventually when he can sit in the seat. This allows me to keep an eye on him, entertain/soothe him, as well as make sure he is adequately shaded once summer comes. Then there is the storage basket... Baby Jogger was definitely thinking of moms when they designed this stroller and its basket. Not only is it huge (we recently were at the zoo and I had a small cooler, my diaper bag, and four sets of coats, hats, and mittens in the basket with room to spare), but it is actually accessible! Some of my strollers have decent storage, but it is difficult to access, which can be frustrating. When I go shopping, I rarely worry about needing a cart or basket, because there is so much room in the stroller. I have even taken it to the grocery store on smaller trips. This stroller is truly worth the investment, particularly if you plan on having multiple children or having kids close in age.
Great stroller!!

I know its expensive but its worth it!! We have been using this for several months now and its pretty awesome. We call it the Cadillac of strollers, its heavy duty and it maneuvers well plus it pretty easy to fold up but it does take up a lot of space. The only negative I have is we had to buy a lot of accessories to add on to make it better. One small example is we had to buy cup holders for us and the 2 seats so we added 3 cup holders. We also had to add baby car seat adapter so our baby could ride with us. We also added the glider board, our 2 year old uses it very little and at this time in our lives we probably didn't need it. I would definitely recommend this stroller

I have a newborn, a 2 1/2 year old, a 5 year old and a 7 year old. I live in a high rise apartment in a big city. I primarily needed a way to get them all in and out of our building and to our car in a hurry. I didn't think this stroller was the answer, but actually it works perfectly. I put the car seat adapter in the middle position of the stroller and strap my baby's car seat in there. Then I have a running board on the back and my 5 and 2 year old stand on there together and we zip to and from the car this way. It is easy to push and maneuver with all 3 of them on there and easy to stash in my trunk since it doesn't have the seats on. Plus I have the option of adding the seats back on (which is really easy to do) for when we want to go for a walk, go to the mall, go to Disneyworld, go to the park or whatever. Overall this is a great stroller for city living. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: Versatile. Lots of options. I love the option of car seat adapter and running board. Easy to push and maneuver, even when loaded with kids. High quality. Easy to put the seats on and off Nice big tires Nice sun shades Comfortable seats. huge storage basket Cons: my chicco key fit doesn't snap into car seat adapter, I have to strap it in. With the seats on its kind of long (but what can you expect from a double stroller) With a baby in the top seat the front seat pretty much has to be facing backwards, which my 2 year old doesn't love but my 5 year old does enjoy The accessories are so expensive. I think I paid over $70 just for a car seat adapter! No cup holder or parent console A little cumbersome to fold Takes up a lot of trunk space Hard to fold with seats on High cost. I've tried out a lot of strollers and I do think this one is the best for my family situation.

I waited to review this product so I could have some time to use the stroller with the second seat. We have now used it regularly for about 7 months (with 2 seats and with a seat/carrier combo). Compact. I tried a ton of doubles in our local BRU before deciding what to get. I really did NOT want a stroller, in which, one child sat way under the other. The City Select was about as compact as I could get without this happening. It is still much longer than a regular one-child stroller, but it doesn't feel like I'm pushing a bus around except in very crowded places. Seats. I love, love, love all of the seat arrangements! I have a 2.5 year old and a 7-month old, so we just recently started to use both seats rather than a seat/carrier combo. The seats seem to be a little on the smaller side - I thought they would be similar in size and shape to the City Mini GT (which we also have), but my 2.5 year old barely fits in these seats now, but still comfortably fits in the GT. With the visor back, it's not a problem. Basket. This is the roomiest basket I have ever seen! I can comfortably shove my big, puffy winter jacket as well as a few shopping bags, if needed. Hand brake. I told my husband that this is one of the best parts of the Baby Joggers. It is so easy to use & is very heavy duty. Heavy. It is very heavy! I have a car, so lifting and sliding the stroller into my trunk is a real pain, but I expected this with any double stroller. It also fits well into the trunk of my Toyota Camry, which is a huge plus, though there isn't room for much else. Overall, I love this stroller, but it is on the heavier side. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone with two little ones still needing a stroller.
Overall worth the $ but has one minor flaw.

This is a quality stroller that is easy to push and maneuver (biggest attribute). It folds fairly flat when the seats are removed and is lightweight. The seats remove very simply with a button on each side and lifting straight up. Folding the stroller is easy as well. You can fold the stroller with both seats attached if you need to it will just take up more room. There is one flaw that I believe is a manufacturing defect: The rear wheels have levers that you can press to remove the entire wheel. This lever is spring loaded and our spring went missing leaving the wheel to freely fall off. When I inspected it there is a little plastic nub the broke off allowing the spring to fall out. The manufacturer was great to deal with and immediately sent a replacement part but that part failed in the same way on the same side. My sister in law has the exact same stroller and the exact some problem on the same side. When you lift the stroller into the car and the wheel falls and the axle hits directly on your big toe it WILL NOT be pleasant! This plastic nub is not exposed, it is under a lever but I think the diameter may just be too thin. To fix this issue if you do not plan to remove the wheels often is very simple. Just wrap the axle with some electrical tape holding the lever closed. it takes 30 seconds and you will not notice the black tape on the black plastic.
