Slicker Brush with Long, Firm Pins

Im a dog groomer so hopefully this will help pet owners and other groomers.First off youll need a long prong brush (like this one) for long haired dogs, if you want to keep them from matting. You MUST be able to penetrate the coat to the base. A COMB will also be very beneficial after you brush to catch and snags and show you where you need to rebrush.Anyway this brush will mostly be useful for pet owners. It indeed gets the job done for a long coat IF its a soft silky texture. This will not be good for thicker rougher coats.I find this brush mediocre, maybe the next one up, with stonger stiffer pins would be better. I just feel like this brush doesnt penatrate the coat enough making you get more brush exhaustion in the wrist. This brush is really light weight but with the amount of more effort you put in to brush knots, it isnt really worth it. My point is, a long pin brush from Ryans pets for $10 worked better.
