Vionic Men's Tide Sandal(Open Box)

Very nice sandals, but sizing is WAY OFF!! I typical wear Teva Sandals, and have had several pairs over the years, but I wanted to try the Vionic this time with the advertised additional arch support. When they arrived I looked them over and they appear to be of a high quality and made well, so I was excited to try them on. It was down hill from there....Vionics only come in whole sizes, no half sizes (and only one width), but I've found that with most sandals, so I ordered the next size up (10) from my usual 9-1/2. The size 10 Vionics were long enough but they felt like they were an extra narrow (AA), not a medium width. So if you have a foot that's a tiny bit wider than average, these are not the sandals for you!Attached are photos of the Vionic vs. Teva, both a men's size 10. You can see how much better the Teva is constructed that the Vionic and the size differential. The strap on the Teva is much stronger and larger than the Vionic. The physical size of the size tens in the comparison photo shows the superior Teva to the Vionic. The Teva has a small rise around the perimeter of the sandal to protect your feet from things you might bump into. As for the soles, the Teva is more like an athletics shoe that has a strong slip-resistant construction, which makes very stable on slipper surfaces.Final conclusion, the Teva is a superior sandal to the Vionic in just about ever aspect.I just wished the Teva had a higher arch support, then they would be the PERFECT sandal.
