Perfect Headgear for Jiu Jitsu – Comfortable, Durable, and Reliable!
By Jh on Reviewed in the United States on January 7, 2025
I’ve been using the Cliff Keen E58 Headgear for my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, and it has been fantastic! The comfort is outstanding. The soft foam padding provides a snug fit without causing any discomfort, even during long rolling sessions. I also love how lightweight it is, so it doesn’t feel bulky or heavy on my head, allowing me to focus on my technique without any distractions. The durability is top-notch. I’ve been wearing it consistently for both training and sparring, and it has held up very well. The straps are adjustable, ensuring a secure fit, and the material doesn’t show signs of wear even with regular use. It offers great protection without compromising on mobility, which is essential in Jiu Jitsu where every move counts. The design is sleek and simple, and it doesn’t interfere with vision or movement. I appreciate the ear protection it offers, helping prevent cauliflower ear while still allowing me to hear my coach and training partners clearly. It’s the perfect balance of protection and performance. If you're looking for high-quality headgear that’s comfortable, durable, and effective for Jiu Jitsu, I highly recommend the Cliff Keen E58 Headgear. It’s a must-have for any serious practitioner who wants to protect their ears and train with confidence.

The headgear was eagerly awaited, my stepson is a freshman and had his first “official” wrestling meet. He had summer camps and we ordered a cheaper version before, just to make sure he enjoyed wrestling. Well, the gear came and the vinyl cover was stuck so badly and made the ear covers basically melt together and he had to tear them apart and they ripped. But, the tournament was the next day, so he had to use them. He felt badly and didn’t let on how badly they tore, even though I saw it happen I thought the vinyl left would stay put. But it didn’t and when I saw them at the next meet, 30 days had past. Money is tight and it seems like he needs something that is at least $50 every time we turn around. He’s a great kid, he deserves everything, it is just a bummer that I have to order another pair and the quality is probably just as bad. He feels badly, but he does so well in school, in sports, in life. I want to encourage all he does, so I’ll buy them again and teach him that he deserves quality and it’s ok to return something that should’ve lasted longer…teens buy this gear, please try to do better. I know very little about wrestling but bought based upon a name that was passed on to me. The cheap pair, lasted so much longer and that’s not saying much
