DEWALT DCL043 20V MAX pivot head 1,500 lumens light

[Update]: According to the DeWalt manuals there are two subtypes of this model DCL043 - Type 1 and Type 12 and I received the latter. The Type 1 has 3 white light LEDs and 1 red and Type 12 has 4 white light LEDs. Apparently they are same case design but Type 1 is $$$, (assuming) with lower max white light lumens (on the account of the 3 vs 4 LEDs when compared to the Type 12, unles the LEDs are different). [Original review]: Let me start with saying, most of my tools are DeWalt, for many reasons, including their quality, longevity, durability and utility. That being said, after opening, first thing I noticed the belt hook is not in the box. That's disappointing, since it is shown in the item pics, so a star down. After popping in a brand new, freshly charged 5Ah XR Max DeWalt battery and going outside at 10:30 pm in a lightly wooded area, the light did not disappoint in regards to how far it goes. But that's the best feature of this item, unfortunately. Since the lens (or lenses) for the LEDs are non-adjustable, the light at a short distance (i.e. in a room) is quite focused. Again, if the main purpose of the item was to be used as a signal light and not as a worklight, would have been fine, but it just makes small part of the room brightly lit, while the rest is somewhat faint. Would have liked to have a way to control the focus of the light beam. Half a star down for zero focus adjustability. There are two light levels switchable by squeezing the trigger a couple of times and they are adequate, but cycling through the on-max-low every time is not the best design. I'd rather have an on/off and mode selector switch or even a three position switch with "off" in the middle (for one-hand use). Given the price point of this light, I would have liked at least a strobe mode and a red light mode, but it is what it is. Another half star down for being just a basic tool at a high price point... I expect that it will do its job for a long time. I just wish either the price is adjusted adequately or some more features added to it. If the hook was in the box and the item was $30 cheaper, it would have been a much better offer.
